I test the Milviz PC6 Porter's abillity to desend 4000ft per minute whilst staying bellow 100knts using the PT6A 27's ability to place the prop into beta
I'm a simple man. If you yell clear prop into your wall for immersion's sake, I subscribe instantly.

you cracked me up about the placard on the auto pilot. I am a A&P (mech. want to be pilot ) in the states and had the pleasure of working on a Fairchild PC-6. I absolutely love this aircraft.

Fun aircraft. The reason you were having a problem with the generator was because you were operating it while the propeller was feathered. The manual makes a point of saying, “Do not operate the generator while the prop is feathered, and do not feather the prop while the generator is on.”

I'm flying this aircraft in MSFS now. I learned a few things from your video, such as not forgetting to put the cutoff/mixture control into high idle before takeoff. Actually I've only started on the runway so the simulator already had the aircraft running but not in high idle. It took a while to realize that BETA comes on automatically at idle throttle and below 100 knots. Some advised almost never touching the prop control as it will seek about 2,000 rpm on it's own but I suspect you want it feathered during start for less drag on the engine. I liked your use of the prop lever during taxi as I find the brakes on the weak side -- not sure if this is actually the result of a significant amount of thrust even at idle on the power lever. I tried some 3-point takeoffs I'd seen in videos, where all 3 tires leave the runway at the same time. This "may" reduce the tendency to yaw radically when the tail lifts but in my case the wheels starting squeaking as they tried to leave the ground and it would lift off too close to stall speed. I've retweaked my joystick rudder sensitivity and it seems a bit easier to keep on track now with normal takeoffs.

You are making me want to buy this airplane. Don't like the stock G1000, so good to see the NXI sort of works.

You didn't need to keep your airspeed in the white arc if the flaps were up.

What are the required electrical devices that must be turned on before the engine is started And the generator activated ...If you are starting the aircraft with it's own batteries this becomes a concern.

Just curious on a few things. I thought you couldn't use the WT NXi in this Porter. And you had mixture at cutoff until you were lined up on the runway - is that right? Not even in low idle.
