I have the top box at work and am about to order the bottom. I like it a lot but there are definitely a few things that are lacking for the price. The key is meant to be used as an override only and not to be used normally. It's secondary access for when the battery dies or you forget your password. I really want the side locker for it as well if I need to expand more in the future. Awsome review/unboxing.

Have the same box.. Deep sockets will not stand up if on socket tray. Wish draws were deeper.

Thanks for showing how the bottom wheels come out lmao. I was a little confused on how it’s bolted into the pallet.

The point of that middle slide isn’t for the weight of the draw, it’s to stop the drawer binding if pushed from one side. I have had both 46” and 56” and the original 46” doesn’t have that slide and the draw binds when pushed from one side. I am looking at buying heavier duty slides for the main long drawer and replacing the Milwaukee ones.

That actually makes a ton of sense. Where would you fund stronger slides? Could they just bolt on or are you thinking a full custom job?

@@lost_reviews I’m not too sure. Would have to find ones that extend the same and are similar size. Need to drill out rivets on old slides by the looks of things

@@lost_reviews Here in Australia you can just buy better slides from a hardware store, but I would also try cabinetry shops or offroad camper suppliers since tool drawers for offroad vehicles/campers need very robust drawer slides. for example, Goliath Hardware makes a soft-close drawer slide rated for 45kg/90 pounds, or extra heavy duty ones rated all the way up to 200kg/400 pounds, so maybe look for some similar drawer slides over there in the US?

I thought the light was gonna turn on when you opened the top. Maybe it will register on the motion sensor when you have more things inside? Also, take out the bottom drawer of the top box and drill a hole that matches the hole in the top of the bottom box. Then bolt them together.

Yes, the motion light actually does work very well with keeping the lid closed. As for drilling and bolting, there is no access to those side chambers that would allow for that. I could drill through the main body of the chests but it’s not worth it for me. I will never be moving this thing around anyway.

Could you post what led light you got, I do have same box and want to add a led light for the top part, also how long battery last on it, is rechargeable or regular batteries?

The key is probably just for backup and so you can't lock them in your toolbox.
