I preordered the Bolt 100 vented hard hat because I wasn’t keen on the chin straps. It fits really nicely. I also got the tinted visor for outside work. So far I’m impressed with it. You’re right though milwaukee can be hit and miss outside of power tools.

I run the Petzl vertex vented hard hat as across the ditch here a lot of the commercial builders are now requiring the climbers hard hats with chin straps to be warm at all times. I love it. It’s comfy and good. You can get the visors and a few other accessories for it similar to the Milwaukee one. Milwaukee seems to have run a better eco system for their stuff though as the half visor would interfere with the head lamp and doesn’t sit snug to your face. The full face shields though are the same deal. Can only run it with just that on there and need a pair of safety glasses underneath. It’s looking like this will be more and more the norm now as it’s been rumoured that worksafe are soon to mandate that specific standard and higher as the only types of hardhats allowed on sites. Which is good but going to be costly as my petzl retails for about $210 NZD at the suppliers

I’m a tree worker I’ve ran the Petzl before and it does the job, but i now run the Kask Spire and I feel like it’s a lot more comfortable … slightly heavier, but once you’ve got earmuffs and visor, it’s not noticeable

This is genius. I've been frustrated for years with juggling all the separate ppe/accessories and trying not to lose them. Especially frustrating when they conflict so I have to give up something to use a particular set of ear muffs or face shield. Picking one up today.

My only concern is the added weight from all the attachments, some of my sites don't require hard hats and going in between - even with the standard hat - I notice the extra load on the neck by the end of the day. System looks great but check back in a month and follow up if your neck gets stiff 😂

I brought one as soon as they were released in nz. Mainly because of the visor and head light combo. I mainly wear it at night when climbing power poles. I wear glasses so I hate any type of safety glasses. This fits the job perfectly. It’s a bit heavier than what I did have with the original Milwaukee hard hat light. This one is far better balanced as the batter for the head light is at the back.
