Got to admire them for making them versatile enough to take Dremel attachments. That’s a great way to win over Dremel owners. Bravo.

I had a few Milwaukee 12v tools. When I found this rotary tool, I bought it and threw out the POS rechargeable Dremel that had about 5 minutes of run time per charge. Dremel = toy. Milwaukee = tool.

Unrelated tip: automotive battery terminals are tapered. In your situation where the terminal clamp is fully closed but loose, I see you could have easily loosened the clamp and tapped it with a mallet to go deeper (onto larger diameter) section of the terminal.

YIKES!! Grinding near a battery is scary! My dad had a car battery literally exploded in his face by doing something almost exactly like this, where he was grinding something and a spark ignited the hydrogen gases that vent from normal car batteries!

I'm new to Dremels, but this thing has been great. kzitem.infoUgkxfPgcZ5_Cl0HDUKkMJAKde11YKQZVgMoR The variable speed is awesome and the cordless aspect makes it so easy to work with. I am constantly finding uses for it that make tasks easier. Recently I put in a new deadbolt on one of our doors. I knew I had to enlarge the hold where the deadbolt goes into the door frame. At first I thought I would have to get a big router and figure out how to use it for that, but then I rermembered we have the dremel. I was able to enlarge the hole almost as easy as if I was drawing with a pen. It's also great for grinding our dog's nails done and so many other household tasks.

Dremel makes a really nice little accessory guard that attaches on the end and it's see through that you may want to check out. It works really nice for with almost any attachment but really shines when your using grinders and cutting wheels for keeping the shred metal from going all over the place which is nice. Thanks for the vid

The tool comes with a little wrench, there is a square black rubber button near where the bit slides in, push and hold the black button while you tighten the bit with the little wrench.

I got mine today and on speed 1 it doesn't spin. It spins on 2 and up. Also, the battery light goes away after like 5 seconds after turning on. Is this correct?

The battery light will go out while your using it but the motor should spin on speed 1, I would take it back to the store and exchange it.

Great tool while it works, milwaukee should make a fuel version of this, they still use the old mosfet drivers which blow out under stress, but the new fuel circuits use higher conductance mosfets on the brushless motor field drive.

Pile of dogshit tool! I'm on my 3rd. After maybe 1 hour of run time on my two previous tools, they just blink as if the tool is overloaded or overheated. Tried multiple batteries and same thing. Tons of reviews on HD & milwaukee's site confirming this fatal flaw as being super common. Just wait until yours fails and pray its in the warranty period. I'm now looking for an alternative to this M12 trash.
