This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool kzitem.infoUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.

I'm a retired journeyman carpenter. I used tools hard in my life. I have an M12 that I'm very happy with. It does everything I ask, and is not too heavy. It hammers well, and if I do a big job, like finishing a basement, then I've got the option of using the electric hammer drill if I need even more power or speed. Frankly I doubt I'd bother . . . the M12 is very good.

First off, great vid gents! -Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but the M12 looked to be drilling with a 6amp battery and the M18 with a lower amperage 5amp battery, which very well could explain the M18 getting stuck where the M12 didn't.

@tceng9449

It's worth having a look at the Torque Test Channel's battery comparison. There's a big jump from M12 to M18. A big difference from a single set in parallel (2 or 3Ah) to two in parallel (4 or 5Ah). That's more significant than lower to higher capacity with the same number of cells. The high output batteries (e.g. the 5.5Ah M18) which use 21700 cells instead of 18650 cells makes a difference on high load tools. In some cases moving to a higher capacity cell can slightly drop the peak output. Milwaukee's battery naming convention is at best a bit odd. The M18 batteries are 18V nominal, same as the DeWalt 20V, Bosch 18V, Makita 18V etc. The M12 batteries are 10.8V nominal, and some brands like Bosch used to call them 10.8 and now use 12. It's a bit like calling your car battery 14V. DeWalt are at least consistently wrong.

You tested the Milwakee M12 and M18 with Millwakee speed bore,Multi use and metal bits. The speed bore are a in and out bit. You tried to run them strait threw from start to finish. The metal bits you ran them full speed with no lube and watched them smoke. They need cutting fluid for anything thicker than sheet metal. The multi bit you ran dri and at high speed. Those bits are a low speed bit and water is recommended on anything concreate or masonry.

Been considering the m12 fuel as im a DIYer with little side jobs here and there. Seems like the m12 for size, weight power and price is more appealing. The m18 fuel, being more expensive is also slightly heavier which at the end of the day is ok if you need the power and speed. But for me whats an extra 30 seconds? Im not building houses.

I’m pretty sure that dust may have silica in it, in the US it’s like the new asbestos. You guys really should consider desk management for the sake of your health and to set a proper example. On the other hand I love Milwaukee’s M12 series of tools. I started off in Bosch 12V tools, but Milwaukee just Crush is it by a landslide! However Bosch does have a 12V router, planer and orbital sander which I want all three of them.
@MachineryNation
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, I think... You may have noticed we were not expecting that to happen! Desk management? We wore safety glasses and ear defenders especially for you safety Sally’s. For Silica to be of anywhere near a dangerous level we would need to be breathing in 50 micrograms per cubic meter of air, averaged over an 8 hour period. Yes if we had known this was going to happen, we would of wore N95 masks. 👍🏼🤩
