The US should introduce laws across the board that repairability should be built into every tool as should the rest of the World. Crazy that these things cost so much only to go into a landfill a few years later. Apple seem to have lead the way with this non-fixable throwaway society. Right to Repair is fairly big in the US at the moment, partly lead by KZitemr Louis Rossmann. This throwaway game is very bad for the environment.

@manuelhung7571 But Germany also! In my opinion there has to be a law that every Power Tool company has to provide spare parts for at least 20 years after ending the production of a Powertool model.

At lease Milwaukee parts available, Lowe's power Kobalt tools don't have parts even under the useless warranty like my Kobalt 60 gal compressor, 80V Kobalt chainsaw and probably the whole line of major Kobalt tools. You could get your money back under warranty but no parts available even for purchase, meaning out of luck after warranty.

Undo the handle screws, undo the 4 screws holding the motor. Turn upside down and hold the hammer by the motor. Then use a rubber mallet to knock if the hammer section from the motor section.

@@deandohertygreaser Hi sir can I ask your help, I’ve watched loads of your videos over time, I have a dewalt wet tile saw dw2400, I’m getting sometimes different sound on motor, and sometimes it smells, like over doing a drill , I’ve stripped it down last night and noticed the field has ware rubbing type mark on inside, so had the armature, I’m thinking bearings, but obviously can’t tell as they seem ok smooth enough, any ideas please , don’t want to try repairing in it if need new field and armature

if you find out which mosfet it is. part numbers seem to have been removed. also it seems to be coated. so you have to remove the coating. all in all it will probably take way too long for a commercial repair shop, the cost is too high because it would cost too much time and therefore money, no one would pay for this repair... still the biggest problem is probably my first point. try to find out what mosfet they use...

@deandohertygreaser

The videos are bout tool repairs. I repair tools for a living. Sadly some tools cannot be repaired. I was showing why this milwaukee can not be fixed. As one failed component in the stator means i have to replace half the tool if if where to fix it. Cannt simply show all the repairs. Some time showing failures and non repairs can give a better understanding as to what each brand is about.

That's unfortunate. I love my M12 ratchets and stubby/right angle 1/2" impacts! I do use Makita 18 volt impact drivers for renovations and boy those guns are so easy to take apart and fix!
