Hi my dear friend thank you so much for another great garden video some great information and thanks so much for sharing it with us. You do a great job explaining step-by-step. Loved what you talked about the fern. I’ve had trouble growing ferns here. I think it’s just too hot and dry. Thanks so much for sharing. Hugs and kisses from grandma, Sandy and Debbie.

Oh my goodness…its my pleasure! Ferns are a little particular not only with sun exposure and humidity, but also soil. Probably why these ones are endangered in the wild. Once a human moves in and starts removing shade, vis a vie either trees or tall grass, the ferns become too sun exposed. Most Of mine were found growing in one field so the conditions there must have been ideal. As I have started gardening there, they had to be relocated. 🌿🌿🌿💕💕💕

Goooooooood morning my dear and what a beauty it is!!! Standing here doing dishes and a turkey just walked by my window.Theee days ago 11 came through so she probably missed the bus!🤣 About three years ago a turkey raised four babies here so we’re hoping this one has a family as well. But, our neighbors are trigger happy so little miss turkey might get herself shot! 😢 They’ve already shot a fox and I can’t stand that. Anyway, picked up a spring cold from my hubby and I’ve been coughing my head off. Big bummer as I have lots to do outside. I wish I could get lots of strawberry plants to you. I’m having to thin them out tremendously! My son has 21 beehives, but six are on his land an hour away. I’ll have to send some honey when that time comes around. Enjoy this lovely day my friend! I have to split hostas as well and that fills in empty spots. So much fun in the dirt!

Poor turkeys hardly stand a chance. I heard them calling to each other just the other day and I did my best turkey imitation to speak with them!😂 I don’t mind hunters but absolutely abhor wonton waste, which is what these idiots usually do around here. Nothing makes me more angry than when I see a wild turkey carcass with just the breast removed. 😡😤🤬 I hope your momma fares better. Oh gosh yes! Fresh honey!! Yum yum!!! Sorry to learn about your head cold. Summer colds are the worst! Feel better soon and yes to dividing hostas!! They use up a good deal of space and look phenominal in the garden. Love and light my dear friend!!❤

I didn't know ferns had genders too! I know some other garden plants do like haskap berries and kiwi vines. Super interesting about the chemical communication. Is this for all ferns or just this species

You know, I’m not sure about all ferns because the study read about these specific ferns. Thats something to become curious about and “dig a little deeper”! Pun totally intended 😂🤓 I think cannibus is the same…male/female…but whether or not they communicate, I don’t know. Now I feel strange when I relocate these ferns knowing I coukd be removing a much-needed male plant or a much-needed female plant in that area. It makes me be fully aware and more conscientious when it comes to endangered plants, which is a good thing. I try to save every one that would otherwise be trampled on or too sun exposed when we develop land. Knowledge is everything for plant conservation!!! 💕💕💕🌿🌿🌿

Don't you just love it, when you id a native correctly. I know I do. That was very interesting. Splitting up the hostas is a great way to get more for your money. They are beautiful. Oh! Anemones I love. You probably know, that you soak the corms for 3 to 4 hours before planting. Great video.

@@CiaofCleburne the first 25 I didn't soak and I got one flower. The rest I did soak and they have given me several blooms.

I do enjoy properly identifying plants. I kept calling these “maidenhair” because my book, which has been fantastic for ID, actually called them that but when I looked into these particular ones, I stumbled upon that study of chemical communication, and learned their actual name. I also did not know they’re becoming endangered in the wild so that makes me feel so happy I took time to relocate each one I came across as we established our living areas around here. Now I get to watch them grow and thrive and maybe I’ll even learn to recognize male from female!!!❤

Yes, split up hostas! 😂 otherwise you end up with one gigantic hosta when you could have an entire bed of them covering much more space!! Live and learn and “just keep planting”!!!!! 😉

Hi Cia! I had no idea, that they can communicate like that, and their babies. The wisdom of creation so brilliant! I guess in a way like spider plants? 🕷 i love ❤️ your sharing and caring about every creature & plant, you are a Sage Woman xo love you xx
