Pinaki Ray is a life coach and he is guiding listeners on a 5-day journey into "Mindful Digital Detox" - a Podcast Series inspired by "Digital Detoxification", a concept #LifeCoachPinaki has been practicing "Mindfully" for quite some time now.
#LifeCoachPinaki talks about digital detox and how to take charge of your digital wellbeing. He says that the first thing to consider is whether you are a "Consumer" or a "Producer" when you are using digital media.
#LifeCoachPinaki says being a consumer puts you at risk of being controlled by the digital world. He suggests the following "Top Five Activities" as a way out to reduce your consumption of digital media by different social media apps:
1. Stop allowing the apps to automatically save videos and photos to your phone's gallery.
2. Turn off the backup feature in your phone that uploads your images and videos to the cloud.
3. Leave the groups that you don't need to be in.
4. Archive groups that you don't need to see on a daily basis.
5. Set specific times to check your apps instead of checking them now and then throughout the day.
Overall, #LifeCoachPinaki suggests his listeners to take control of your digital life and reduce the amount of time you spend consuming digital media. He admits that this will significantly improve your emotional, mental and physical health within a week's time.
