Was just looking yesterday to see whether Thi's episode had gotten more listens. It's by far one of the most entertaining episodes, and how much fun you were having in that conversation was really obvious. I remember him saying afterwards how he had no clue Mindscape had such a huge audience, so it's not like he was playing himself up. He just genuinely enjoys talking philosophy and shines while doing so.

Sean, your biggest idea series has been incredibly useful to me. I listen intently, then when it gets over my head it’s the new version of a lullaby. Overall you have been very informative, and I listen to you podcast more than others

Yay! Happy holidays! Just as a matter of stress management, I've learned to slow down my thinking in general with much success. It's possibly one of the most important things I've learned. I believe that often, we are smarter than we think and meticulously working something out yields better results. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and insight.

it seems to me that when you think slowly enough, the deep ideas put themselves in your head automatically but that takes the kind of patience which makes it impossible to live a normal life.

I listen to all of your podcasts and store them to different playlists. Your capacity to select, terminate, reproduce, and recombine numerous experiments, observations, inferences, and approaches is quite useful. I'm also curious in how you talk about what experiments, observations, inferences and approaches disrupt your original credences.

Do you take questions here? Cause I have one thats bugging me. The Sun creates a solar wind, a wind of particles from the sun and that wind would include a lot of protons, as I have heard. Those protons hit the upper atmosphere and mostly would combine with the upper atmospheric gasses, such as nitrogen and oxygen and ozone. So when a couple of protons combine with oxygen, you create water (and maybe some hydrogen peroxide, and other stuff). Over a period of a year or so this could amount to a huge amount of water, basically raining down on the Earth. How much "rain" is coming from the Sun? Enough to raise the sea levels maybe a few centimeters a year? Its going on today but also has been going on for millions of years.

Regarding the physics establishment looking with disdain upon foundations: I always thought that was counter-productive. It just seems obvious to me that perhaps that's the best place to look for a resolution to the incongruities between the two major physical theories, and the unanswered questions in the standard model. But I am on the outside looking in...

Yes, sadly greed prioritized the investor's thinking. Trying to get in early to win big clouded their judgment from doing proper due diligence. Plus, they got fooled by the credible illusion used from getting major sponsorships and celebrity endorsements. Oldest trick in the book...

I am listening to your podcast, and on your analysis of the SBF's nonchalant presentation, I am really puzzled on how you come up with your theory of "the investors are impressed with SBF because he talked fast, or because they think SBF is too smart". Obviously i wasn't there either, but your theory just doesn't make sense to me. I mean to me it is like completely obvious that the only reason the investors still invested in him is because they saw FTX's revenue from the 'fake' income statement. that or the fact that he was worth $26Bil. so obviously there is some kind of trust in whatever bullshit SBF was presenting. If I were to go to a job interview, and my interviewer started talking a bunch of nonsense, it really wouldn't affect my decision to work for that company that much. Because the bottom line i am looking for is just get paid, as is the same for those investors. very simple logic. So again. i can't understand your bizarre analysis on an predictable event.
