@Jackson DeCourcy Bedrock being destroyed is not a glitch. You can't mine bedrock and you can't blow it up with a couple of TNT. Because it has a massive blast resistance. BUT: when you hit it with enough force all at once, it is possible to break it. Not that it'd be useful, but it's possible.

*_I think one shouldn't focus on fake or not_* It's not the point of this video if you ask me. For me it has a big feeling of nostalgia (and that even though I didn't even play minecraft myself). *_The video especially in combination with the music just has something magical to it._* *_It still astounds me how well the music fits the video footage._* No matter if intentional or not (i think it is), but moments like at 2:24 when he sees the massive scenery accompanied by the whole orchestra kicking in, or at 3:55 where he threw the item down the whole and the cymbal hit are simply magnificent and beautiful. *_Lovely video. And especially such a wonderful song

I am guessing the people currently posting have not played Minecraft in Alpha. The game used to have a glitch where lava could spawn in place of bedrock making holes through the world. Bedrock has always been an indestructible block, but lava could be destroyed by TNT. Also good editors didn't exist yet so this was built by hand using an infinite items editor without flying. Also Damn it has been five almost six years now.
@Rides1283man

... Hello? It destroyed bedrock.
@alphacentary
8 жыл бұрын
The TNT did not destroy the bedrock, but what people fail to realize is that bedrock was never spawned in that location when the world was generated. Instead we had a lava lake that spawned where bedrock would usually be. So what happened was that the TNT destroyed the lava and relieved the void below. Is that more clear statement for you?

I can't believe all the people who are saying "Fake" because they can't break bedrock or destroy water. Everyone is saying "Oh they used MCEdit to destroy the bedrock and make the hole" but if you look VERY CLOSELY at the top left corner, it says "Minecraft ALPHA v1.2.6"... MCEdit was not existing then, and if people think they just used a early version in 2014 using the launcher, you can also check the date this video was published, it says 2010. So I say good knowledge to all the people who says they used MCEdit. One more thing, in Alpha they could blow up bedrock and destroy water. So again.. Good knowledge

Fake because if you look closely, most of the hole is made up of smaller holes that somehow look like perfect spheres, the kind of thing that could be easily done with a program like MCEdit. Second for some reason the water around the hole is not flowing, meaning that the area around it must have been replaced with Air without updating the water blocks to make them flow, an effect only possible with a program like MCEdit. Next note that the water that doesn't flow around the hole is only around the hole, and not above it, let me remind you that TNT cannot destroy water. And last note the missing Bedrock, which he claimed the TNT blew through, Bedrock cannot be blown through by TNT not because it would crash the game if you had enough but because you cannot deliver enough damage in the same instance to destroy Bedrock. So how did he remove it? Well note that there is a perfect spherical hole running up to the the Bedrock, MCEdit.

look at the video on his minecraft is said Minecraft Alpha v 1.2.6 Did some Google look ups and found out MCEdit is on Minecraft Alpha v 1.2.6 but you are right about TNT cant destroy Bedrock. i found out about this you cant destroy bedrock with TNT or not. only one way to destroy it is in Creative mode only. if you tryed to use 10000000000000 TNT it wont destroy Bedrock instead it will destroy your world but i don't think people can make 10000000000000 TNT if they do it might take a long time. And Yes he could used MCEdit To keep the water from flowing and The TNT for water tryed that guess what my TNT did not go through the water instead it did nothing. So the video is fake.

The fact that all the TNT did not explode at the same time and the fact that TNT drops to the floor and is pushed aside sometimes explains the varying craters. Also the ice was probably only one layer and ice can be "Exploded". Bedrock may not be destroyed but maybe there was so much TNT that it blew out so much surrounding rock that they found a hole somewhere.

I can prove some of those wrong: 4. The redstone wasn't placed on the TNT it was placed on the wooden trail next to it which triggered the first TNT which in turn triggered the rest. 5. Check the release date. This was released during classic, when bedrock could be blown up, with admin permission. Even if he was using a mod, it doesn't mean it was fake. About 1. and 2, I'm not sure what you mean, the water was flowing down into the craters. Some of the water was ice afterwards because it froze.

One of the very first Minecraft videos I ever watched, even though now it's obviously fake, I still get a massive dose of nostalgia from watching it. Also I have a Firefox plugin that restores the old annotations, here's what they were: 0:01: Music --> Artist: Luke Richards, Song: Farewell my dear 0:26: A lot of scaffolding around the ball. Some are still left in the inside. 0:59: Had to change to TNT. (Pointing at the trail to the ball) 1:07: Boom (Pointing at the pressure plate) 1:56: I had to load the game up again. 2:25: Jesus H. Christ 3:29: DAIMOND!!! (Pointing at the diamond to the right) 3:39: It blew a hole in the bedrock!!! 4:27: Lol, found a wrecked dungeon here.

He was using a command (from a mod, Single Player Commands) that created an explosion of a certain magnitude. TNT's normal explosive force is 4, an explosion of magnitude 285 is not equal to any number of TNT blocks, the game mechanics don't work that way. Even now the single highest explosion in the game only has explosive magnitude of 7, and a charged creeper is only 6. Just to make sure i rechecked the MC wiki. At no point have they changed the blast resistance of bedrock or the force of TNT.
