Thanks for putting this together. A lot of guys think that the eq 600 only runs on 3 frequencies. But as you pointed out, and the manual states, it uses the same 5 frequencies as the 800 in multi mode. The main difference being you can't run the 20kHz or 40kHz in single mode with the eq 600. But it is important to note the eq 800 in gold mode Multi-IQ, the default setting, processes a high frequency weighted multifrequency. So when using the eq 600 it is advisable to use Field 2, as you did, or Park 2 as they also processes a high frequency weighted multifrequency. The other eq 600 modes settings processes a lower frequency weighted multifrequency. When shooting for gold you want the the 20kHz and 40kHz to take center stage. Now, it would be interesting to see how the eq 600 would stack up when using the 5" coil on gold. Thanks again.

Nice video comparisons...I have a Equinox 600 enroute and the 6 inch coil..curious about using in Multi for small gold.. I did also see the reference in the manual regarding the full range to 40kHz in multi..

Why didn't you test it with the small coil ..tnx though

I do believe the 600 only does 5,10,and 15khz. While the 800 does 5,10,15,20,and 40khz. So there should be some benefit to the 800 but probably negligible.

It does 20 as well but only in multi.

And if u had it on recovery speed 2, only 1 tone audio, full metal mode, ground balance on zero (not auto), and get another 2inches

1.19 gram is a pretty big nugget hows it do with a .08 of a gram which the 800 will pick up and the gold bug 2 will go even smaller? If the600 does run the higher frequencies in multi why wouldnt they advertize that it would only be to there advantage. I have an 800 and it will pick up down to 1/15 of a gram at about an inch in an air test but if the 600 could do the same job for less money i'd be pissed Lemme know if u think it could find those smaller piecis THX

They don't advertise it so you spent a bit more for the 800. I mean. If I wanted to make more money, that'd be an easy way to do it without making changes in the production, which would cost you money to do.

With the equinox600, I can detect gold nuggets if their maximum frequency is 15?

Look into multi IQ that is on both equinox models, it uses multiple frequencies at the same time from 5khz up to 40khz

You used the smallest coil on at, this is hardly a test, use the normal coil

Smaller coils are sensitive to smaller gold. The AT had the advantage. The point of the test was to show that the Nox was just as good at detecting gold as the others. It was not meant to be a fair competition showing that one was better than the other.

@@yukonbuck7272 you wasn't testing for size of gold. You was testing for distance. Bigger coil, the deeper. So your lame excuse and reply is a failure. Your test only proves that you don't know what you're doing or talking about. All click bait.

@@joem2535 Pretty sure he was just proving the 600 can find nuggets at depth. Who gives a f..k if the coils are the same size? Just testing to see if it will pick the nugget up! Sometimes you people read too far into things! Quit trying to crap on everyone and go buy your own machines and make your own detector comparison video. That simple!!

This is no legit test. Everyone knows the size of coil makes a difference by a long shot. The bigger the coil the deeper. So you used the smallest coil on the AT Gold and a bigger coil on the 600. You're a failure at testing.
