Nice vid Sid. That 11 inch does like to be swung faster and wider though, Which u didn’t try, it picks things up as the EM leaves the target. I just noticed it one day; low and slow doesn’t apply like it used to.. …

Thank you Sid, that’s a real eye opener, I expected the M8 to be better winkling the good finds from the iron, but running the sensitivity high and missing the cut half really surprised me! I came off a field that has always produced Roman, Saxon or medieval, but I ran the 11” a bit hotter than I normally would, now I know why nothing came up. 🙄 P.S. I won’t be using the stabiliser or filter either. 😂

gday from oz,i mainly water hunt ive got beaches that are very mineralized with red reef rocks under the sand the only program the works is the surf and seawater i can get the sens up to 21 but even at that it falses turn the iron volume on and its like a machine gun even when theres no iron, i have to run at 18 sens to get to hear those deeper small targets but they are so short reports they sound like iron falseing its a difficult machine but has great potential,try the surf and seawater on your cut half.cheers

Hello, I appreciate your videos they're great, I'm still learning the manticore, but I've had a little bit of success with it, Recently, I got into a spot near our railroad, and it appears to be a Civil War camp, The spot Covered with iron spikes, Railroad spikes, Nails, Fence Barbwire, I have recovered Civil War buttons bullets Some small brass targets, But I think I'm missing a lot And I am constantly digging piles of iron, Is there any video or that you would recommend for a site like this that is Extremely Heavy on the iron, I appreciate any advice you might have on this site, Thank you
@englandshistory

Hard to say without being there but if it's a private permission you have time. Firstly clean area of the easier targets the ones that say dig me.. then play with settings, try a faster recovery, lower sens and then try opposite, then start to investigate the trickier targets that sound mixed with iron... if it sounds good dig it, even if the screen don't look pretty and target trace is mixed, trust your ears... and also i recon the m8 coil will work a treat on that site

Thank you still waiting for the m8 to come in the mail perhaps next week, the iron spikes and rail spikes, square nails sound good, I don't mind digging trash but man there is so much in there its horrid, I took the 900 in there on factory and it seemed to pick out more good targets manticgore seemed to miss over the same ground? but still, just tons of iron I'm digging, just takes up much of my time with those@@englandshistory

Tried this out yesterday Sid. Ive found the M11 is my starting point on pasture and pulls up all the decent large and small targets. Then ive used the M8 and its massively better identifying things the M11 thought was iron in the same area, and at a good depth 8-9". Then ive gone over everything again maxed out 26-28 with stabiliser on and off and still found goodies. Ive even done the low conductors after that and its unreal how still picks out things. Your analogy of a wide beam being sent down with the M11 and a thinner beam with the M8 is absolutely bang on. The only thing i would ask is can you do a video on the ID screen when you have a tricky signal?..... that bleeding on the screen either from top to bottom or the other way round .... and how you would approach a digger or not......

Great video👍 This proves my thinking that the stabaliser is there to use on iron infested sites to sacrifice the smaller targets for unmasking the bigger targets.

Used the 8 inch coil today 1st time out with it buried a hammered 6 inches down in my field 100% better and more depth with the stabiliser off and all terrain general is better deeper than low conductors plus managed to push the sensitivity up to 26 and 28 never had it that high before......last week I used my 15 and 11 coil on the same field no hammered....8 inch coil 5 hammered and a token plus all the other tiny bits all on a rough plough.Once it's been rolled il use the 15 .....Great coil
