Europeans rushed to South America to find El Dorado, the city of gold after Columbus first spread the word about the existence of the American continent. However, Europeans that couldn't find gold mines turned their heads to sugarcane, cocoa, and tobacco, instead of gold. They couldn't find gold mines due to the thick jungle of Guyana.
Guyana barely has any roads on land due to the thick jungle and rivers and streams that go across the jungle. Any trips here require either a boat or an off-road vehicle. The way to the mine reminds me of the movie, Indiana Jones.
I had to transfer from a boat another 3 times, and go through a muddy road of the jungle to get to the gold mine using a special mining method. A drilling machine installed on their mining ship works on the river, not in a mountain.
The miners on the mining ship sleep, eat, and work on the non-stop operating ship, and get to go out on land once in every 6 weeks.
We're introduced to the unique mining method of the mining ship, and the dream of a miner.
