That mainboard ITX format looks so promising, we need a lot more tiny cases manufacturers like for this one, the lighter the better too. Love that you are pushing boundaries in micro when these components have issues in this tempered glass phase - all I want is some decent aluminium cases with dust filters - amazing you have got a really powerful system in here and it will perform better than a lot of full size cases due to the trends. I'm a bit surprised you aren't capping out your PSU. It's only 450w, and that doesn't seem like you'd have the headroom. The CPU is 95w at stock, and the 1080 uses 180w. Combined with the rest of your system, it seems like to OC to 5ghz you'd need more juice, especially if you OC the GPU as well. Was your GPU overclocked, or just the CPU?

For rendering you can also try making a separate power plan and limiting the max cpu % in windows power options to save you from having to fiddle with the bios. Less reboots and it should have a similar result. Cool build :-) and very surprised with the thermals!

Impressive that those parts fit into the case with such tight clearances. I would expect temperatures to be decent, even with the PSU blocking part of the cpu fan there was definitely enough room for airflow from the case fan to get through the cpu fan. You probably did the right thing turning the PSU around, the negative pressure would have worked opposed to the cpu fan and robbed it of airflow. And the GPU card's cooling is basically independent. Not sure I'd call it no-compromises (to really do that you'd need a small AIO instead of air cooling), but its a great build for a compact case. I'll bookmark that case for sure. -Matt
