You are an unbelievable artist. You convey so much using just hatching. You have an incredible eye.

I've been using 180g recycled paper a lot. The one I buy is light gray and fountain pen friendly. By the way, you should make a video comparing your favorite brown or red inks! Your tips are amazing and very helpful.

Thank you! I only regularly use two red inks, this one and Diamine Matador, but I have a ton of brown inks and they deserve their own video.

Now i try to learn from Durer. How could he make so long perfectly parallel lines.Which ink did he use as white hatching one. Decently succeeded with "praying hands". Would like to develop further portrait or landscapes on silver or copper lines. Can 4H or 5H be a good transition to silverpen ? I fully agree with practice practice practice without making the soul dry (vary subjects). This chanel IS very professionnal and useful.

Thank you. I believe Durer only had lead white pigment at his disposal, and since it's toxic you will not find it in ink form. Zinc white (also called Chinese white) is a decent substitute. I will have to do a video where I do a copy of Durer (and his Praying Hands would be a good one). Hard pencils reproduce the look of silverpoint, but the feel of it is quite different.

Attractive drawing made with an attractive pen. Time for me to get out my two remaining flexers and see what they can do for me, now.

Thank you. I know that you’re a flex-skeptic, so I’m glad this video got you to possibly reconsider.
