In mid-June I had only the morning to ride - so I chose one of my TOP 5 FAVORITE rides: Onion Creek north of Moab!
There are many great trails in the Moab area. When you think of exploring the magnificant scenery of gorges and red rock cliffs, you probably think of expensive "adventure" motorcycles or even MORE expensive Jeeps.
For this ride, I chose to explore the backcountry - and dozens of water crossings - on my 126cc CFMOTO Papio "Scrambler"!
I enjoyed EVERY single mile - just like visitors on bigger and fancier ADV cycles, - or 4x4s or side-by-sides. My Mini Moto Scrambler is outfitted with knobby tires for comfort and traction. I rode the route at the same speed as other vehicles, splashed through the same water crossings, and took in the same awesome scenery.
BUT - I enjoyed the loop at over 100 MILES PER GALLON. My little scrambler costs FAR less than most Jeepers invest in TIRES alone.
On this trip, I was just passing through Moab so I was transporting the Mini Moto on the hitch rack on my truck. But, the Papio is fully street-legal and capable of highway speeds - so I COULD have ridden the entire loop from town and back!
Enjoy the scenery of Onion Creek. There is NO music or commentary - just the purr of 126cc's of raw Papio power!
