I'm happy despite the kickstarter failed, they kept going with the project . And already pre-ordered my copy at www.flybot.de/

Well, the Price is pretty high. I am a bit surprised they offer now a variant with 150,-EUR. Obviously, this is no model for a student or someone who has to check his money before buying - there are ways to build or buy something way cheaper. You have to decide if it´s worth it. Well, I have seen People throwing out more money for less. Check the pricetags on TBS-products, and they are made in China. Prices for the initial production of those materials are pretty high in Germany, but you also get very high quality results. The tools for foam molding usually have a pricetag of several ten thousend EUR, before even one unit is sold. Well, I guess they won´t become rich with that campaign. Those two guys try to make something new, different from the stuff than you get from China and I guess you can expect highest quality material. Until the chinese guys will simply copy it... Did you know the guy from Ritewing does his foam-production in Germany? At least I know about the Drak. I don´t own one and I guess I never will (too expensive, not my style), but it seems to be pretty hard to destroy.

@KaffiFlight Would you prefer the Wing over a FPV49?

Those are 2 very different models. The FPV49 is still the all day go-to wing for aerial video, because of its smooth caracteristics. This one is small, fast and build to be smashed into trees, or any obstacles that are in the way or other models while racing. They both fit into very different roles of what they do. This one is designed to do it´s job good. But it´s a different job from that of a FPV49. Maybe it is also able to do aerial video pretty well, but it´s way smaller and difficult to carry a cam other than Mobius- or Foxeer-style. And well, it´s more demandig to the pilot as well. What I really like about this one are the ideas for details and the semi-modular system that have been incorporated into this little one.

Sounds plausible :) Thanks

what happens to the servo in case of a crash?

I guess the cables are fixed, the plugs are "free" moving. When the wing is ripped out, the plug is also pulled out. Should be no problem, as long as you don´t do that all the time. After 50 crashes, they may wear out (just to name a number, I don´t know)

thanks for the answer! I suppose the cables are fixed on the frame that there is no strain on the receiver. clever design! :)
