Awesome vid but am I the only one who actually prefers the look of metallic paints over nmm techiques? Probably I'm just making up excuses for my laziness tho xD

If you gave me free paint, unlimited minis and 20 years of experience, I still don’t think I could do this. I swear my brain just can’t process where to do highlights. This looks amazing. Great vid, guys.

Then cheat. Find a dimly lit room and place the model on a table. Use a lamp to create the light source from the angle you want. Take photos of it and use for reference while painting.

Great tutorial, I love how the finished model looks so illustrative, like a painting that stepped off the page.

Whenever I watch these videos, I see exactly what you're all doing at each step, you tell me what you're doing and why, and then I see the finished product and still go "What is this witchcraft!?" But seriously, your videos have helped me improve my painting abilities one small step at a time (I'm still very low level, just working on improving my highlighting right now) while getting me dangerously close to buying a Warhammer army that I know I can't afford.

Absolutely love this video! Leading on from this, I'd really love to see a complimentary video on how to tint skin tones with light sources. It's something I struggle with the most when painting OSL

Perfect timing. I was just looking for something like this. High res photo is also much appreciated. One thing I struggle with is how to make realistic micro-scratches and dents in nmm. Maybe a topic for a future video to dive deeper into.

I have a question. Is there any Chance you would make a painting tutorial for some miniatures in 1:1200? Your hero scales Are great, but I know quite a lot of people who play for example Dystopian Wars or aeronautická And as se all know, size matters and what looks good in one scale does not necessarily look good in another.

couldn't you just use metallics and wash with water colors then re-establish highlights then add blues and whites for highlights? I'm really starting to like water color, and gauche. So easy and no harmful chemicals
