I bought it last week, I tested it today. It makes everything that I need. Two stereo outputs when I play live (one to mixer, one to my monitors). Two usb for my midi controllers, one midi for my pedalboard. It works perfectly.

Nice video and thanks for trying out all the possible uses for the USB. That gets overlooked sometimes. This Minifuse sure might be my audio interface for the backpack. I am still very satisfied with the Zoom TAC-2R on thunderbolt which shall be used at least till my Mac gets deprecated.

Just watching this video now. I love the extra USB ports. My Apogee Duet (version 2) has an extra USB port as well, which is super handy to connect a midi keyboard. I don't get why other interfaces don't do this. Even the new Duet version (3) doesn't have this extra USB port anymore. I may pick up an Arturia interface this year for the little vocal booth studio I plan to build.

Hi. thank you for the video. I have one question: have you tried to plug electric guitar or bass to 3 or 4 inputs on the back? Can these inputs be use to record guitar or bass and (I guess using the trim knob in control centre) achieve some usable input gain level for these passive instruments? This is very important info to me. Thanks in advance.

Very nice. I'm impressed to see that they support legacy midi ports. Thats so very useful. Decent quality midi to USB adapters can be expensive. The cheap ones drop loads of midi events to the floor

Makes me wonder how the 1 and 2 handle USB since they both only have bus power. No matter how many ins and outs you need. If you need the USB to power more devices, you need this one?

Did you experience any dropouts when using it with the M+? Can the MiniFuse be set to be the audio sync slave or does it switch when a hooked up device wants to be the master?
@jefgibbons
Жыл бұрын
No dropouts, but I barely did anything on it yet… do you mean sync with the computer or the M+?
@maikvanrossum
Жыл бұрын
@@jefgibbons when connected to the M+. I’m using an iConnectivity AUDIO4C and it works properly as long as I set it to let (what’s connected to) the USB port to be the audio sync master. When I do not configure that explicitly, the M+ will loose connection once in a while. Most users of different external interfaces experience this dropout after 1 to 10 minutes. After that you have to reselect the external interface from the audio settings in the M+. It looks like that configuring the external device as a slave solves the problem. At least, for me it does.

Actually just bought one of these for use with my Maschine+ and my iPad pro. 8:30 Not all USB C cables are created equal... some will power and transport data, some will not do both. Try different cables to see if you can get your IOS devices to work correctly.

@@jefgibbons love the extra connectivity the hub feature adds, and it makes sense TY hat adding the power to interface lets devices connected work fully than just using bus power. Thank you for demonstrating this.

Just for a DAW/VST use only, meaning no recording in or mic or anything, just DAW composition & studio production with very high quality monitors, would you consider this audio interface a good choice in term of output quality?
@jefgibbons
Жыл бұрын
In that case just go for something like the minifuse 1, cheaper but still gives you the option of one input if it comes up!

Can it use Standalone APP and send 3&4 Out Pre-FX to hear Stereo Delay & Reverb without recordibg FX but still send out Gate, Compressor, De-Esser, EQ to monotor and track without latency? Line6 Toneport/Studio UX2 can do this. It saves needing loopback from DAW for monitoring FX thus is efficient. Just a handy method but especially when used for Guitar & Bass... can it do this or onky via DAW which would be terrible latency for Instruments.

Hey quick question , was wondering if this would work LINE 6 POD GO output --> arturia minifuse input then arturia minifuse --> studio monitors i know the pod go can serve as an audio interface it self but i still wanna daily drive a dedicated audio interface for my mic and headphones , so if i wanna record or play i could just plug the POD GO to the MINIFUSE

Line6 Studio UX2 is very over looked for its use professionally with 4 Outputs, 2 are Pre-FX sends plus dedicated ASIO APP GearBox.

I have Minifuse 1, which I've change from Scarlett solo just because of an extra usb hub. In general I'm happy although after 3 months my volume (monitor) knob started making hissing (white) noise when turned up and down, which is really annoying, especially when my speakers are on loud. My previous audio (Scarlett) started making volume knob noises after year or so.
@aloharay
Жыл бұрын
Had that happen on a Tascam unit I had some years ago. I forget exactly what I used but it was some sort of pressurized spray that I used to clean out the volume potentiometer and that made it less noisy when I turned the volume up or down.

Is there a difference in latency with maschine plus internal vs minifuse? In setting audio how much in/Calc/out? Always curious how it performs with a mid level rme too. Myself I got an (don’t laugh) behringer 18 20 and an Ada 8200 for expansion, with the idea to connect it to a mixer with direct outs (soundcraft fx16II) and have the same soundcard setup on the other pc side, or get a Tascam 24 wich would be much simpler (ps in the latest reason update you have lots more ons and outs, so maybe a faderfox with 12 channels the one with sliders and the one with knobs could do this too. All I want is to track everything on its own track while jamming.
