I highly recommend a DIY Flaxseed Gel. Very simple and affordable (there are so many tutorials on youtube). Keep the ingredients simple: i use flaxseeds, water and Aloe vera gel. I scrunch it in soaking wet hair and let it air dry. It becomes a crust and you can scrunch it out and are left with nice waves and curls 😍 its very Good for a bit of Protein in your hair (most products focus on moisture). And a Pro Tipp: freeze some of the flaxseed gel im icecube trails, and defrost whenever you need more. That way it won‘t go Bad and you can make a bigger batch. Gosh my comment is so Long now😂 love your Videos🥰

I stopped using extra “stuff” on my hair. I have very very curly hair. I shampoo my hair with either Purology Hydrate Sheer Shampoo or Aveda Botanical Repair Shampoo and rinse. Then I put Aveda Botanical Repair Conditioner in it and leave it in. I avoid silicones and I am not a fan of synthetic fragrance because I am allergic. I don’t use heat on it. Most healthy my hair has ever been is when I stopped messing with it. I do put some sweet almond oil in it occasionally.

I went curly about 5 years ago and have not used a hair dryer since. Super simple (one product, flip head over and scrunch) and feel so much more like me. And i get so many complements on my hair and how I look! I highly suggest it. It take a while or your hair to get into a groove and to find the products which work for you but so worth it. I sort of feel like I a denying who I really was for 50 years until I fully embraced this.

Love the wavy hair!! Any hair that is “frizzy” or looks full of air is actually wavy!! One tip I have is to use a gel when your hair is wet. My fave is uncle funky’s. I apply when my hair is moist in upward scrunching motion. Then I let mostly dry, then add pacific pineapple curl cream to take out any crunchiness. Gives it nice beachy waves that look put together!! Also, we use lots of the same skincare products :)

Very beautiful, Christina. You look beautiful. I too have noticed that since using less products, my hair and complexion have improved since then. My main problem was my hair, which I unnecessarily bleached blonde for 10 years. Now I have dark blonde hair and I use very little hydrogen peroxide. My hair has improved very, very much.

We have the exact same hair type (fine, frizz prone, not straight, with some waves that aren't usually defined unless twisted into a bun), will try out your hair routine, thanks for sharing! One thing that made a massive difference on my hair was a silk pillowcase, I just use a silk scarf wrapped around my pillow lol (personally I feel like it's better quality than the silks on the overpriced pillowcases I see raved about by influencers), it really does makes all the frizz on my hair disappear.

In my experience, hormonal birth control methods have caused me horrible acne at times. I finally figured it out when I had the Mirena IUD and had major cystic acne. Had it removed and skin cleared up day after day. I never went back to using birth control after that.

I have hormonal cystic acne in which 2 aggressive courses of accutane barely touched so the least amount of products, the better. If I have makeup on, I pre-cleanse with hemp oil. On a regular morning I use the extra mild Clinique Cleanser and follow up with a Clinique jelly moisturizer, powdered sunblock and spot treat acne with topical hydrocortisone. I really don't do much to my hair aside washing it twice/week.

I need a little more makeup to cover the redness from my rosacea, but the rest is very similar. My hair is looking the same if I blow dry or not, so I let it dry by the air and have no work with it. This routine and my haircut with a special technique named „calligraphy cut“ prevents my ends to split, I love it 😊

@@neon.neutral Thank you for the tipp. My skin hates silicones, she can’t „breathe“ under it and I don’t wanna use silicones, they are harmful to the environment. Please don't take it personally, I talk a lot about this theme, people don't even know that fact about silicones 🤷🏻♀️ My skin is very sensitive, but I have a few foundations and concealer, they work with my skin and mindset, RMS Beauty, Mádara, Lily Lolo.

Pretty 🥰 Do you mind if I ask if you’ve felt any negative side effects from the spironolactone and how it’s going for you? It was prescribed to me for acne but I usually prefer a more holistic route so I have yet to try it.

I used to straighten my hair everyday because I didn’t understand the frizz I was fighting with was waves lacking moisture. I tried the Curly Girl Method for awhile, and I do still try to use products that are free of sulfates, parabens, and Phalates(?). I have short hair, thin hair so I’ve found light products are best for me so no curl creams or heavy gels. I wash my hair with Eva NYC’s Lazy Jane conditioner and when I do use shampoo I’ve been using a tea tree one from Giovanni. Once I get out of the shower, a little bit of Odele leave in and Not Your Mother’s Curl Talk Gel. Scrunch, but gently. I’ll typically use a microfiber hair towel to help eliminate frizz and plop my hair. I never use heat on my hair and would recommend getting a silk pillowcase (I got a bamboo silk pillowcase). Hope that helps!

My makeup routine has become so minimalist in the past few weeks just because I can't be bothered to clean my brushes and put in the time and energy to make interesting looks with all my eyeshadow when I finally get the energy to film. I don't want to get rid of all my eyeshadow right now but it does make me think about if I get back into the constant makeup buying habit again. Seems to come in waves. Or at least, if I want to try a new brand of eyeshadow (hey, there's always something I may like more), just.. don't buy bright colors anymore lol It's not in my lifestyle now.

I am not a fan of recommending stuff because it is nice if you have found a routine that helps to continue with that, but I am going to because I have had such goods results. That is from using a bha, salicylic acid. I quit all my prescription stuff because whenever I get acne I put that stuff on it, only on those spots, and the next day they are gone. I never have to do anything else with my spots anymore. But I must say quiting dairy cleared up my acne for about 95 percent. Does not matter what it is, if it is dairy, no matter if it is low in lactose I will get acne. It just wasn't worth it for me anymore, so I switched to a lot of vegan food products. But I wonder have you ever tried using a bha? Or are you perhaps allergic to asprine and is that the reason for not using it?
@Astri_B
3 жыл бұрын
By the way I must warn you if you are not lactose intolerant and quit eating dairy there is a chance you will become lactose intolerant because your body will not make lactase anymore to process the lactose. Perhaps you already knew that but I don't want people to get angry because they read my post, quit eating dairy and then becoming lactose intolerant
