roadstar499 it would be a very tight fit. Look up the team minimax builders/owners page on Facebook and join the group. (Answer the Pre-approval questions) you can learn everything you need to know there. Generally the 1100Rs go for $3500-$4500. Just depends on the engine and options. The newly built ones will go for even more.

How accurate is the ASI in this plane? It's indicating beyond the yellow arc, which presumably means too much stress may be placed on the airframe. Beautiful landscape.

@@Flyingwithdarrell So you are cruising about 55 at this video? How fast it was at full throttle (real air speed)?

Roger Smith This was a bumpy day. Plus my GoPro is just zip tied to my hat. It runs and flys smooth.

I don't see a owners/ builders group on Facebook to join. All I see is Team Minimax page. Do you have a link?

Corey Mcgee it won't let me copy a link. Find me on Facebook and send me a friend request so I can invite you in. My profile pic will be similar to the one I use on here. Darrell Massengale

I thought most kit planes had 10 gallon tanks and had a range of 1 hour fly time hows this do 2 hours and how many miles does it do in 2 hours, i am looking for a plane that can fly 250 miles one way NON STOP so i can learn to fly first thay far

Says below it has a 1/2 vw. That could fly as long as 2 hours on 5 gallons. 5 gallons is the legal limit for an ultralight. Although with a 1/2 vw, not sure it’s an ultralight anymore. If it’s an experimental, then no legal limit on fuel. Only gross weight limit. Although you’re right, generally speaking experimentals up to 65 hp generally have 10-15 gallon tanks.
