Those little plastic pieces on the bottom front are to attach the backpack that they make. You can get it to coordinate with your carrier.

Family Life With The Pod awesome! They only have the navy blue backpack currently in stock which is a bummer as I was considering the orange and grey colour carrier. But hey it’s only a colour. Me and the wife were on about these as they kept popping up on my Facebook feed. Just bought our 1 year old son a new car seat and a trike to push him along in... all these gadgets cost us some serious £££ over the last 2 months here in the UK. All worth it though!

Hi there! We are late in the game and only recently decided to invest in this carrier. We bought from a third party and only received this today, but found out it’s missing a shoulder carrying strap like it’s demonstrating in the minimeis website. We noticed in your video that yours also don’t seem to have the zipper pocket in the back part. I just want to ask if this is a version minimeis had or not so if you can confirm for us it’ll be very helpful!! Btw your video was very fun and helpful, I can see you are such a wonderful dad!

You are correct. I have no zipper pouch. The newer ones have some updates. The shoulder carry was never needed for my daughter.

I’m 5 foot 10 inches (178 cm). I wouldn’t think height would be the biggest issue unless you have a wide chest. If you are slender you should be good. You could look at my other video to compare. kzitem.info/news/bejne/1q9jzZhrn5iDZKQ

How do people feel about what a fall world be like in this? Like a patent stumbling? I would be happier with her on my back in that case but maybe I'm wrong.
@FamilyLifeWithThePod

Not all carriers work for every application. If I was going to be going on an uneven path or steep inclines, I would likely use a back carrier. Your Center of gravity is higher with the child in the carrier, so precaution is always advised. I haven’t t had much concern with feeling unsteady or falling while walking on flat surfaces. I suppose if you fall forward the child would be secure from falling out and would put pressure on you head. Falling backward would be harmful with either back or shoulder carrier. All carriers come with a warning of use. I’m glad you enjoy the back carrier, I use them also, especially when she sleeps. What is your favorite back carrier?

For longer walks like hikes where I’m not going to be taking it on and off and I need storage, I’d say the OE. I’m go into be doing a comparison video soon. I’m waiting for the new bag from MiniMeis to come in, so I can test them

Which is more comfortable to wear the Minimei or OE? I just got my Minimeis today and feel like my 30lb son's weight is heavy on my shoulders and neck. Would you say the OE weight distribution is different?
@FamilyLifeWithThePod
4 жыл бұрын
The OE is definitely designed for heavier kids. I think MiniMeis is 40 lbs and the OE 55. It has a better weight distribution onto the hips, so the weight comes off of the shoulders so much. I like the MiniMeis for quick trips when my daughter is up and down a lot and the OE for longer trips. However, if you feel your son is in on your neck, make sure you have loosened the strap on the back and that you have slid him back all the way. That should get him off you neck. I hope that helps

When using during long walks, do you feel any fatigue or pain on your neck or shoulders? I feel pain when putting my 12kg son on my shoulders holding him with my hands. Wondering if this minimeis will solve this. Thanks

At first I felt fatigue and discomfort until I got used to wearing it. The pain is much less than when I have her on my shoulder with out the carrier.
@WuFei0707
4 жыл бұрын
@@FamilyLifeWithThePod The pain in my case is mostly caused by the fact that my son is putting pressure on my neck since he seems to be more in font of me than if he was sitting on the Minimeis, from what I can observe with the pictures of people using it. So I want to confirm with you if it is the same for you.

Yes, when you loosen the back strap it allows the child to sit farther back so they aren’t on you neck.

For long distances and not taking the carrier off a lot, I would recommend the OE. There is a even a place for a water bladder to stay hydrated for your walks.
