Power source I THOUGHT, I purchased off FB marketplace. Was a total scam got me for 300$. It sets me back a month. As a power source is the biggest cost & NEED. 2 WATER SAVING TIPS FOR YOU. 1. Get a spray bottle and fill it 1/3 shampoo and 2/3 water. You will eliminate having to pre wet yourself. Just spray your hair and body with the mix then use the water to rinse off soap. 2. Attach the kitchen sprayer that came with your shower kit or add one if it didn't. By cutting off the water flow in between lathering will save even more water rather than a continuous flow from the shower head attachment. Bonus tip: Make another bottle with blue Dawn dish soap. Same formula. Pre spray dishes and pans after cooking then rinse. Use it to degrease and clean everything else in the van as well. Great set-up Rob. I am planning out my 04' Sienna build and will probably copy yours. Take care.

I like my EcoFlow, which is two years old, but there are so many others available these days. I love your easy going way of explaining things. I’m curious if you could forego the bed legs and use a set of 500lb drawer pulls. It could simply slide out then. Also, how do you go to the bathroom when you need to? Lastly, since everything loose is directly behind your drivers seat, do you have concerns about things slamming forward in an accident? Would it be wiser to flip flop the floor layout and put all the heavy loose items on the other side?
@travelswithrob4970
9 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comments. Yes, I’m sure a good carpenter could fashion a way to use heavy duty drawer pulls instead of legs, but that’s a bit beyond my expertise; I’m just a simple woodworker with basic tools. Regarding bathroom, I have a hospital-style bottle for #1; and since I often camp in locations where I can find at least an outhouse, I rarely use my double-lined bucket for #2. Regarding loose items in the van, the items behind the driver’s seat are also behind 1-2 layers of 3/4 inch maple plywood, so I’m not concerned about any interior objects hitting me in a collision. I didn’t want the shelf unit behind the passenger seat because it would block visibility. However, if I have a rollover accident, I’m screwed, and stuff will be flying everywhere

@travelswithrob4970

Thanks for your comments, I loved Mr. Rodgers! The metal brackets on the rear legs connect the bed frame to the van’s rear seat anchors (via the 2x4 wood crosspiece). It’s the only point where the bed frame and wood floor are bolted to a hard part of the van floor, so I chose really sturdy brackets
