Some people like to go all out when camping. Load up am ATV 4 wheeler, maybe a small toe behind. My uncle lived in Alaska, and would camp for weeks at a time. He had two huge separate tents, one was like a kitchen (he was hunting obviously) and the other was his living space. He had this portable outhouse thing. A warm water shower, and all kinds of other cool stuff.

Because some people don’t understand the purpose of this stove i’ll make a point. This is obviously not a backpacking stove, it’s for camping or emergencies so you’ll be taking it packed into a vehicle not carrying it for miles on foot. Rocket stoves are highly efficient with fuel consumption and heat output, this means you can use sticks to cook food instead of needing to use logs, it will also heat up faster because the heat is concentrated at the center and also heats the stove up. Whereas without one, if you were camping you would need to bring logs, typically, most camp sites sell them but you will save a hell of a lot of time and money just buying a nice rocket stove like this one than paying for logs throughout the camping trip. This is a good idea for anyone, no need for gas burners when you can fuel it for free, infinitely, by just collecting fallen sticks which are everywhere.

Nice! Instead of buying that, we bought some square tubing from the remnants pile at the local steel yard and my 17yr old learned how to measure out, cut, and prep materials, then weld them with a Lincoln rod welder. We have a few of these in various sizes and they are in fact amazing. Several projects later and he's 20yrs old and making drawings for a dresser set that will also hold the mini refrigerator he bought from his earnings at his job. He was running a machine at work the other day and it bound up with product and broke. He did lock out tag out just like I taught him to do, then he unbound the feed error and fixed the machine. After getting that all done he reloaded the feed and made the machine operable. He ran it the whole rest of his shift. His supervisor wanted to know what the small bunch of waste product was about, so he told him. A few weeks later he did a Saturday shift filling in for his supervisor. Never buy anything you can build yourself. Especially if you can teach your kids how to build that stuff. If you have sons, you should never repair, rebuild, or make something. Make them do it, and show them how. I promise you, you will never regret the extra time it took.
