Unbreakable Shafts: amzn.to/2fuKKfP
The Traxxas Stampede and Traxxas Slash have pretty decent driveshafts, but add in LiPo power and the stock (or aftermarket) brushless systems and you have a recipe for failure. Although the stock shafts hold up for a while to abusive bashing, it won't be long before you end up breaking them! The rear are almost always the first to go, but depending on how you drive of course.
There are multiple options for replacements, but the "middle ground" upgraded cvds (constant velocity drives) don't seem to last, as they normally bend on hard impacts. However, MIP has a kit out that is just about bulletproof. The MIP X-Duty axles/driveshafts for the Traxxas Slash and Stampede are STRONG! Take a look at how they compare to stock. Make sure you use loctite when assembling them, and you should be good to go.
I've had them in my Slash and now Slashpede, and they have done a great job holding up to the crazy brushless power that we've been running through them. They are highly recommended!
