When your doctor tells you that your little girl may either die or become a vegetable, you have one hope left: a miracle.
It was not an easy road to travel especially when my daughter lost her sight after recovering from coma but with faith in our hearts, we faced the years that followed. God never abandons those that call for His help. To this day, Deanne would ask me, "Mom, why did I get sick?" My answer has always been the same: "God needed someone to show the world that He exists and that He listens to our prayers. He found you."
I am sharing this story to join the many people around the world today, World Encephalitis Day, to share awareness for the illness. Those who recover can experience lingering symptoms like my girl but her determination to face every challenge brought on by the illness is what makes her the brave and successful survivor that she is now. Running her own home business, Deatales on Etsy, Deanne lives with gratitude every single day and hopes to one day grow her business so that she could help people with disabilities have jobs and feel that they are valuable! Deanne is also a contributing scriptwriter and researcher for the family-run eveRIAthing TV show and is a member of the technical crew.
Family. Love. Hope. Faith in God. Miracles happen.
