I was born in 1968, so the only decades from the 20th century I'm old enough to remember are the 70's, 80"s, and 90's. To me, those were the good old days. Except for having a Smartphone, I'm pretty much stuck in the 20th century way of life. And I like it that way! I can relate to to this song so much! It just speaks to my heart.

Hi Kelly, I was born in 1968 too,and I can relate to everything you said in your comment. I love my smart phone too but I still miss the old days when we used to write letters on paper, and make mixed tapes on our tape recorders! Remember those?😅 I still can't believe that I'm nearly 56 years old, OMG 😅 Love from Amanda in Australia

I love these songs because of the how they are filled with imagery I relate with. They seem to come from a common place of things mothers pass down to daughters, from kitchen scissor haircuts, to punch bowls in the depictions of gatherings, to the way we do not talk about things but say everything. It is the way Mirenda expresses emotion with dramatized retellings and with a sense of lighthearted self-deprecation that feels a little bit like family. The lyrics here are the right reflection of how we, crazy woman, express emotion the way we tend to do. The language of these emotions and experiences are not precisely articulated by words, but with all the other elements the songs convey just the right meaning. It's how her songs capture the lessor understood female expression of personal histories that makes her songs so great.

This is what I'm looking for! Besides everything being automatic these days, newer country music has no emotion in it or anything. It's all about sitting on a truck drinking and maybe with a woman. Everyone just comes up with a different way to sing about it. Florida Georgia Line has about ten of those songs. Glad someone can still come up with something good! Go Miranda!
