When I first started using retool I found myself manually hiding a lot of components, like filters and buttons, depending on what section of the app the user was looking at.
When I discovered what I call "Mirror Containers" I implemented them in many applications to have a better structure of my components, and avoid struggling with hide/show rules within individual components.
In this tutorial you will learn how to define a container's current View based on the key of another container. In this example I have also added a Drawer Frame to add actions, which also has a container that follows the key of the main container.
I hope this helps you structuring some of your apps, and using mirror containers more often in general!
Let me know in the comments if you have any suggestion, similar trick or ideas!
