I think this format is great for this particular grove pack because of the complexity of the grooves but for more straight forward grooves I like the old way because it helps me as far as songwriting.

Do you find easier or more difficult to write with 8 strings as opposed to 7 or even 6? Also, do you think that higher or lower tunings work better with more snare?

Theory fwiw: It starts 4/4 with quintuplets and changes to 3/4 with the quintuplets grouped into 4 subdivisions. Atleast how i hear it.

I mean he did say on a not-too-long-ago livestream that he's been helping out with the new AAL album. He's worked with them plenty before so I'm sure he's picked up the influence a good deal, him and Tosin go way back working together.
