The older I get.. the more I realize that JJ is one of the best pure artists in the Americana genre that ever lived. He's like tuned into the cosmos.. like Jimi or Jerry was.. fucking love jj cale

His guitar playing was so , so amazing ... such a complete artist ... captured elements of jazz, rock, blues , country and made it beyond each in beautiful songs never failing to deliver

Oh, JJ.... so effortless amd beautiful. So many of his songs just bring a tear to my eye, especially since his passing. So many reminds me of days gone by, old friends, and places I haven't been for decades... Sometimes I actually avoid listening to him because I can get too emotional. Not many artists invoke such feelings in an ex junkie who still struggles to feel at times. Love you, JJ

Nažalost nikad nije dobio zasluženo priznanje i popularnost ovdje u sjevernoj Americi. Odselio sam se u Ameriku 1985. ali sam sad u Kanadi. Rijetko kad ga čuješ na radiju. U Evropi je bio puno popularniji nego ovdje. U Zagrebu je bio odličan band, mislim da su se zvali Podrum. Koliko se sjećam gitaristi je bilo ime ili nadimak Bane i subotom bi svirali u malom klubu zvanom Podrum. Svrali su većinom stvari J.J. Cale i od Claptona. Odlični su bili.
