I was a volunteer to the hypnosis Pat Collins at her Las Vegas show in 1976. It was weird I knew what was going on but hard to explain.

In 1961 Pat was playing at the Mapes Hotel show lounge in Reno where I worked as a bus boy. Watched two shows a nite for a month, it was 100% real and not staged. During one of her shows I turned into a non-functioning zombie. One of the waitresses went to Pat and asked her to check me out. She took my hand, shook my arm and said he is way out of it. Then sat me down in a chair and took me way deeper in hypnosis to reprogram me so that her banter would not have any effect. It worked. The casino was adjacent to the lounge. One of the blackjack dealers also went under her spell during a show.

Thank you for this classic post! I remember watching Pat Collins on Showtime in the 80's. I was in high school & remember being kids laughing about the antics. Ms Collins was a gem 💎

Thanks for post it. I was 7 or 8 in 1982 when I watched this special. When my parents are asleep.

She was in the comedy movie "Divorce American Style" from 1967: "Dick Van Dyke and Debbie Reynolds star as a suburban couple who learn that not even divorce can solve all their problems." She appears at the end of the movie while main characters are in the club being hypnotized which leads to the movie end.
