Last mission hill episode.. very heart warming way to end it..
@canaisyoung3601
Жыл бұрын
Better than ending it on the episode where Andy loses his job because his boss got arrested for not paying taxes and the waterbed store he had shut down. I mean, yeah, Ron getting mad and hitting the prison Plexiglass while Andy and Kevin leave was funny, but there wouldn't be a resolution to Andy being unemployed until Cartoon Network aired the rest of the series. And the actual last episode was supposed to be Kevin's parents take Kevin back home after discovering that he's in the background of a porno movie they're watching, but Kevin's personality has changed so much that they decide to take him back to Mission Hill.

Mission Hill had one of the sweetest, non stereotypical gay couples in TV history. Gus and Wally felt like a real couple, they didn't only exist to serve as punchlines, and I always thought that was pretty damn cool.
@dreamleaf552

Honestly, one of the best gay couples on television for their time, like sure they're silly just like every other character in this show, but they actually made a cute couple. I find their relationship more believable than a lot of the gay couples heralded in animation these days as being groundbreaking.

The chronology of Wally and Gus' life never really made sense to me. They were well into their adult years in 1958, so they would've been in their late 70s to 80s when the show takes places, when they only look around their late 50s. That doesn't really matter though. This was a great episode and a good way to end the series, but I think "Andy vs the Real World" was my favorite episode.

I dunno, some people age pretty well. Also, it seems like Wally's an AD in the 50s, so he's probably in his mid-late twenties, with Gus likely being older (can't remember if his time in the Navy is supposed to be during WW2 or after). My grandparents were in their 70s around the time this episode is set and they absolutely were up to similar things as Gus and Wally. They also looked pretty good for their age and, honestly, a lot of older folks that I knew at that time looked pretty good for their ages. Probably helped that most of these people weren't evil shitheads or ghouls

She's a character from a cartoon series called Teen Titans (which was also a comic series before it got an animated show). I felt like making a reference to her wasn't all that random because of how the geeky little brother in this show is voiced by the same person who voiced Robin in Teen Titans. That, and also because both this show and Teen Titans were aired on the same network at one point, Cartoon Network. I figured this audience was likely to know what I was talking about.
