…and yes, Tom Cruise is REALLY CLIMBING the building. There is no green screen. No CGI. He climbs it and then runs down it and swings on the rope. There is some amazing behind the scenes footage. @23:10 “Tom didn’t actually do this stunt, did he?” Yes. Yes he did. He did parts of it on sections of the building that were only 80 feet off the ground, and on other parts there are ropes and cables that were painted out in post production. But yes. Tom Cruise climbed up the side of the tallest building in the world. One of my favorite Tom Cruise stories comes from Matt Damon who had dinner with Tom and asked him about the stunt. Tom talked about how he’d been dreaming of this stunt for fifteen years and explained it to the safety guy on the film, who said, “you can’t do that. It’s too dangerous.” According to Matt Damon, when Tom told him this story, Tom then said, “So we got another safety guy,” which is the most Tom Cruise thing anyone has ever said.

@@Rowgue51 He doesn't do all of them but, he does do a lot more than most. For insurance/safety reasons, movies have to use stunt doubles (or at least have them available) for certain things. Good tip: they usually draw the line at actors taking hits so, things like Ethan smacking into the window on his way back in was probably a stunt double but, lower impact things like him running facedown the Burj Khalifa and swinging around it were Tom.

Oh this is going to be fun.. there is an amazing photo of Tom sitting on top of the tower of the Burj Khalifa over 2700 feet up. I highly suggest you two should take a quick look at it. As we know he does his own stunts.. This one is when he really started pushing the envelope as a stuntman.

That was nuts. Tom commitment to a movie is beyond compare.

Did she say, “Take the old guy, Ethan”? Lol! Michael Nyqvist wasn’t 2 years older than Tom Cruise. A 19 month age difference?!

It's amazing how this series only gets better from here on out. The first three movies are fine. But from Ghost Protocol on, this series actually becomes amazing.

This series is so fun to watch and I'm loving the reactions. Die hard with a vengeance (part 3) is one of my all time favourite action movies that has the non stop/against the clock feel of speed so would love you ladies to continue with that series too. You made my week in the last livestream by confirming you're going to do a Robin hood run of movies after my pleading week in week out for robin hood prince of thieves ❤️. Glad to hear An interview with the vampire is also on the cards as well, I guess you couldn't say no to long haired Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise in the lead roles 😂

So I lived in Southern Arizona for a year, Yes sandstorms like that happen, they call them Haboob. Usually there are big car pileups because people cannot see where the roads are.

This was a great reaction to my second favourite of this amazing spy-movie series (my favourite is still the first one). The intro with your parody of "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" was priceless! :D And I definitely enjoyed how deeply you two got immersed in this movie and kept guessing for clues of what would happen next. You were actually faster than me when you figured out that it was the "Big Bad" Hendricks who disguised himself as Winstrom in the Dubai scene. He was played, by the way, by the amazing swedish actor Michael Nyqvist who sadly passed away way too early in 2017. He was the original Mikael Blomkvist in the swedish adaptation of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" and its sequels, starred again alongside Paula Patton in the great drama "Disconnect" and played also russian villains in the first "John Wick" and the, ehum, not very good movie "Abduction" with Taylor Lautner. But the thing is, he is both great as a hero and as a villain. I'm sure that he would have starred in many more great roles hadn't he died. About this movie as a whole: I just love it! Be it the insane stunts, the intense action and scheming scenes, the clever plot, Paula Patton in her most badass role to date (I'd have loved it if she'd return for one of the sequels and I so hope that she will maybe sometime in the future!), Jeremy Renner as another nice, likable addition to the main-cast, the great chemistry between the team-members, the music... I could go on forever! Only the first one beats this in my opinion, but "Ghost Protocol" ist definitely one of the highlights of the "Mission: Impossible"-series and also one of the greatest action movies ever made!

I feel like you spent more time talking about popcorn than the movie this reaction, Which felt very distracting. Unfortunately, this is the first video you have made that I disliked. Hope, this isn't a thing going forwards, 'cause you're one of my fave channels.
