Amazing. We must share a common influence. I play it almost exactly the same way. In fact, I grabbed my guitar as I watched, and played right along with you. Sometimes when I do this, I break off into Robert Johnson's Kind Hearted Woman pattern for variation. Keep spreading the Good Muse my friend.

Nice performance Joe. I first heard this song in 1970, while sitting in a US guided missile cruiser in the Mediterranean. I've been working on this song recently and needed to hear it played expertly. Thanks Again. I know that there are lyrics as well. That'll be another quest.

I first heard this song about 30 years ago and I lost my mind I went crazy over it and I went and got the Mississippi Blues Edition from Stefan Grossman and they had it in the book the problem was the phrase and didn't give you a chance to sing if I'm saying this right is there another version where it will enable me to pick and sing at the same time

One picky thing that I just learned tonight. This song is performed by William Brown and was recorded by Alan Lomax in Mississippi, 1942. The other Willie Brown, mentioned in Crossroads, accompanied Son House and was likewise recorded by Lomax around the same time but did not record this song. Looks like mucho confusion out there. Too many Williams in Mississippi who played the blues.
