Why do we fight? Perhaps the better question is... WHO'S GOT A KEG OF THUNDER FOCUS TEA?!
@writershard5065
4 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, by the point of BfA it's clear that there is no answer to that question. The two factions found peace, but Blizzard says that it doesn't matter and that the two factions will go to war again. And as the story has indicated with this expansion, it can be over entirely meaningless reasons (such as the -potential- for a lack of peace in the future), so for all we know, they fight for no reason. Just...to fight for the sake of fighting. MoP tried to make the conflict mean something, and BfA stripped it all away and made it meaningless.

Gotta disagree there. Classes were super fun and diverse. Class design peaked in MoP. We had the best content patch ever created in 5.2 and the Isle of Thunder. The only downside was the 14 months of Siege of Orgrimmar, but before that we had awesome patch cycles
@Hobopaladin
4 жыл бұрын
@@meeshellart8877 ehm. MoP had already gutted classes with the new talent system which gutted and destroyed several specs and left them unviable in both pve and pvp. WoD just continued trashing the parts that was left. While we are at it, the gameplay in legion and bfa is also shit. Even tho i seriously loved all the art and music they blessed us with. That said this is obviously my opinion. On another note from an artist to another. I like your stuff. ( i have only drawn for 13 months or so tho)

@@CosmicMusic2k Yeah if they hadn't tried to push too much content too fast to hit that one-expansion-a-year goal, which obviously never happened and really helped cause the 14 month content drought, it would be quite possibly considered the best expansion to date. As it stands, it's still for sure one of the strongest they've ever put out. I'd love to go back to that class and raid design again.

In Shadowlands, being able to take a pandaren monk from 1-50 all in pandaren-themed zones will be the most thematically-consistent WoW's been in YEARS (this is also true for players taking death knights through Northrend). I have a lot of great memories of Mists of Pandaria--I was one of those arguing for people to give it a fair shake as early as the Blizzcon announcement, and I felt so vindicated with how much love they put into the continent, the lore items you could find out in the world--an entire rep faction devoted to lore and RP, even!--and the little personal friendship stories in Halfhill remain some of my favorite examples of what Blizz's writers are capable of when they're not obsessing over being EPIC and shocking players. And ye gods, the music. I usually play modern (post-Cata) WoW with the music off and a playlist going, but I've always enjoyed the music for Pandaria and the Wandering Isle. It's just so soothing, and it knows exactly when and where to kick into high gear with thumping drums, cymbals, and flutes.
