Thanks for such an informative piece. I really appreciate this, i was sharing the same sentiments with my dad sometime back about castrating all males. Instead of castrating these good breeds one can even sale the buck at a higher price than when slaughtered. In Zimbabwe a breeding buck is more expensive those for slaughter. You can even swap a buck with 4 females which is even more productive. On a personal level, i mixed goats and sheep which is wrong! i will make sure i separate them .
