Adjusted Honey Garlic Sauce
Ingredients:

1/2 tbsp apple cider vinegar (reduced from 1 tbsp)
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tsp cornstarch (to thicken the sauce)
1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
Instructions:
Simmer the Garlic: Heat the sesame oil over medium heat in a small saucepan. Add the minced garlic and gently simmer for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, ensuring not to brown the garlic.
Prepare the Sauce: Add the reduced amount of apple cider vinegar to mellow its presence in the sauce. Then, add the honey and soy sauce.
Thicken the Sauce: Dissolve 1 tsp of cornstarch in a little water to form a slurry. Stir this into the sauce to help it thicken. Continue to cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce reaches a desired consistency, usually within 5-7 minutes.
This adjustment reduces the vinegar by half, which should significantly lessen its impact, making the sauce sweeter with a more pronounced honey and garlic flavor, complemented by the soy's savory notes.
