This is my favorite version of this song. The contrast in voices is beautiful. Peter in the higher tenor ranges & then paired with the true natural bass voice of Tim. And that last dragon's breath note is truly remarkable & how long he sustains it. Peter & Tim have collaborated on quite a few other songs & they are all beautiful. Peter is a master at layering voices. Check out "Sound Of Silence", "Bridge Over Troubled Water", "Greensleeves", "Fire & Rain", "Teach Your Children", "Sunshine On My Shoulders", "You Can Close Your Eyes", "And So It Goes" & "Blackbird".

Peter is known for his layering, and harmonizing with himself. Creating a choir backup with Tim’s bass notes adding the dark feeling, excellence! Now that you have been burned and branded by Home Free, and it’s members, you may want to listen to Peter Hollens. Check out his clever an hauntingly sung of “The Parting Glass”.

Peter Hollens did a whole album of songs from the LotR and Hobbit films that was my gateway drug into acapella - I'm a huge Tolkien fan. He and his wife both sang in acapella groups in college, at the University of Oregon, and he was the one who gave FifGen (Jimmy Bates, and Reilly and McKenzie Zamber) their start as videographers, making his videos. He's such a talented guy, who crops up again and again with HF and friends - if you haven't seen the Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For he did with HF during lockdown in 2020, you really should.

Thanks, this was Epic! Peter and Tim have collaborated quite a bit, so lots to uncover there. VoicePlay has an Epic cover of "The Dragonborn Comes, the theme from the video game "Skyrim". They feature Omar Cardona on this one. Even if you've never played the game it still gives you the chills. Geoff (Jeff) starts it off with a low growl to get your attention. Thanks!

Oh it’s one of my favorites. It’s from the Hobbit and yes, Tim stares right through your soul doesn’t he?! I can see him in the Lord of the Rings. Peter did 120 tracks for this I heard. Peter and Tim have so many collaborations. My favorites are this one, Greensleeves, And So It Goes, Bridge Over Troubled Water although I like them all. Peter has also sung with Home Free….Amazing Grace and U2’s song I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For. Also Peter was in Oregon and Tim in the Grand Cayman (Hell’s Canyon, no kidding). Also watch the ending again….the camera shakes on Tim’s last note.

Peter Hollens Idk why but whenever I listen to them all in that order it kinda reminds me of three siblings doing the same song at a family gathering. Lol. Ed the oldest Celtic women can’t remember the lovely lady singing Peter the youngest.
