Yes, I bought two different fabrics that share similar colours and I intend on combining them in a dress. I’ve cut out the dress pieces in one fabric, just finalising my design for how I precisely want to integrate the second fabric. You read my mind Juliet! 😊 I love your channel btw, although I’ve been sewing through experimentation/intuition to date. You were fantastic on The Great British Sewing Bee! You deserve many more subscribers that you currently have, keep up the fantastic work! 🤗

Hi, Yess ur right. It can be really nice to mix some fabrics. I saw it in Vlisco video's last year. I kept it in my head. I bought some ankara's last week. And i did what u show us. Different patrn fabric , but 1 or 2 colours are matching. Like the last 4 fabrics it can be nice to put ...i dont now how u call it "bias tape" between the garment.i think the brown, green, orange and white is perfect for that. It give's a great accent ... I think. But u are the expert here. Me i see sometimes and not as good as u are :-))

I lived in Togo and Cameroon before and love the fabrics! But I really have tough time to match them! I have some of the same fabrics you have here too! But the colors just look so gorgeous to dark skin and I unfortunately am Asian. Some big circles are especially hard to cut and make an outfit without feeling like a darts board! Can you make video to teach us how to cut the fabric to make the patterns shine? Also, is there a technique that we can mix and match with other fabric to create a chic and modern look outfit? Many thanks!

Hi Juliet I totally agree with you my mum always made outfits out of African prints in different colours and they go so well together. I have also notice that some African fabrics are now mixing some prints from one pattern to another pattern making the fabric one whole piece fabric. I like both the blue fabrics either way will go but it does depend on what type of outfit you are going to make. Good to see you on your you tube as always keep up the good work :) :)

Many thanks. Debra (UK)

Thanks for a great video. Personally I’m not convinced by the last 4 - they don’t sit well to me. The other combos were great except one where the blues were not similar enough to my mind. I agree with all your concepts though but have never really analysed it before! Diana
