Stumbled upon this video - one of the best studio setups I’ve ever seen! You tackle analog vs in-the-box effects nicely. In a garage, huh?

Nice tour of your studio and also liked the bit of advice of listening to your other speakers , listening with a somewhat different perspective you can probably say.

Nice setup. I’ve watched your videos for a few years now and seen you use a lot of different gear. Good to see what your current setup looks like.

Great setup! Are you no longer using a summing mixer? I recall you had the SSL Sigma.

Cool vid Matty, how many Syng speakers do you have? and can they really replace the need for more speakers (traditional atmos setup) ?
@mixedbymatty

Yes. I know a few of my peers who use them.

I thought you had the symphony mk2 converter at one point? You really prefer the aurora over that? Any particular reason?
@mixedbymatty

Really just comes down to routing. Aurora N gives me more flexibility. Also I had connection issues with Apogee's units as well. I will also say, Lynx customer support blows away Apogee's.

What was the problem with the ATC's ?
@mixedbymatty
Жыл бұрын
They didn't get as low as I needed for mastering. I tried using them with subs, but didn't really like the outcome. I was going to keep them for mixing and use the kii's more for mastering. But after awhile I just found I was using the kii's 90% of the time. Top that with when you have two sets of speakers you cant' always get the perfect placement.

@@mixedbymatty Im surprised at the low-end of the ATC's though they had more than that , Still the Kii's look a real tidy speaker considering who's now using them - Must be good !
