Most of the time we're not really alone. We have family, we have some that with his/her own limitations is and has been there for us. But I get it, you want afection and intimacy from the opposite sex, and I know it hurts not being able to get with years passing by. I myself am a 25 year old virgin with 0 girlfriends so far, but I've seen how my mentality has gotten so fucking strong over the years. As long as you find the right instruction and are willing to change what doesn't kill you WILL make you stronger. There is no way around the pain, you just gotta accept it and make it a part of you.

It doesn't mean literally alone It means like when you study but can't focus cuz you want to play games it's like you can't sit alone with your own thoughts without the interference of other things. Also this also applies to being alone like for example A person who needs constant interaction with other people will probably break if everyone left him he won't be able to focus on himself to move on.

Musashi was a sochyopath thats why he was so succesful at sowrdsfightin. I'm not trying to take away his credit, infact im a big fan of Musashi but he had this big advantage from the day he was born (being a sochyopath is a big advantage when you are a swordsman,try to kill people and try to be disciplined), so not compare yourself to him and dont try to be him. He has some amazing quotes though, and was one of the best(if not the best) philosophers and intellectuals of martial arts ever.

nope, humans are a social species. we literally depend on the presence of other humans to even exist in the preferred state we desire to live in. We are human and we are whole BECAUSE of other humans. we get to expand and grow BECAUSE other humans exist to take over the jobs we couldn't be bothered with. it is impossible to be a one-man island when so much of our needs depend on other people. plus, absolutes don't exist, to say that you CAN'T be honest, or that you CAN'T be loyal, if you "can't" be alone? just isn't true. people are people and people choose who they want to be and they choose how to respond to their environment. loyalty and honesty especially need to be practiced and learned, you can't practice them or learn them if you have no one to practice and learn with. choosing to isolate yourself to become better at communicating is like choosing to fast to gain weight.

I believe that one way to interpret this quote is that people who fear having no one (aka being alone), will always do whatever is needed to maintain relationships. One will be afraid of being honest if he thinks it might cost him the relationship. One will not be loyal to himself and his own identity since he so desperately clings onto others.
@Nu_Wen
Жыл бұрын
@@GainzGuardian while i agree with what you said, what I'm responding to is the alternative to this quote, the very idea that "you don't need ANYONE at all" that the only way to "git gewd" and get people to like you and trust you is to also leave them behind. the very idea that you CAN'T improve anything ever if you don't know how to isolate yourself from others. which simply isn't true and so many people interpret it that way and wonder why they are alone and lonely or why they can't seem to get bonding right and they wonder why after all that isolation their relationships aren't improving. the whole idea that you HAVE to be alone first before you can get your needs met or that somehow being alone will grant you the ability to magically become a good conversationalist, more empathetic, more mature etc, all qualities of forming good strong bonds and good healthy relationships that are made better by first learning from your mistakes or the mistakes of others. i completely agree with the notion that if you "don't need anyone else" you're more likely to stand up for yourself, but what I'm against, is the notion that it also means you don't need anyone EVER. so many people say things like "i leave people for months and then i get lonely, then i seek out people and then i remember why i left them in the first place", people are forgetting how to communicate with each other and then they romanticize their own suffering as if they are woke or somehow understand the world better than anyone else. but the way i see it, you wouldn't buy only one rat or only one lovebird when getting a pet, it is collectively understood that kind of choice would be cruel, but why? "because they are social creatures and keeping them alone would hurt them" is often what we cite as the truth for our expectations. so, are we not hurting ourselves by expecting us to just be inherently better than other animals? (regardless of our needs?)

@@AHZIDAL_1 It's not mine, but what I find frustrating about a lot of people who seek this kind of information. I'm trying to help the people who tend to take these videos to the extremes, where THEY are the ones who seem to think you can't have any friends, and then they wonder why they are alone and miserable. it's painful for me to watch. I'm saying, "no, humans don't work that way."
