bought a 63 in 76 my first car , It was fairly knackered but served me well for three years, rust was confined to front off side A pillar.I loved that car got terrible abused rallying, treasure hunts, loaded out with students going to the pub, took it all in it's stride, my old man took it to the dump when my back was turned, still I have still got the log book somewhere.

Had a 1962 mini 850 in 1975 and it was full of rust so the south African climate has certainly help preserve this one. I have a 1982 Mk5 cortina and the only rust was A pillars and front foot wells.rest of the car is rust free and original. I live in Portugal so no salt on roads in winter which certainly helps

As a new subscriber from last weeks sd1 content I imagine my opinion doesn't hold a lot of weight yet but I would like to see the combined channel content, its a no brainer. Much easier to manage for you and build your excellent channel here and for me I get my sd1 obsession satisfied as well as seeing your first class work on so many interesting vehicles. Finally would like to say as an avid watcher of anything automotive I find your natural presentation and humour along with superb music accompaniment such a refreshing change and look forward to many more uploads ahead. Keep doing what you do I have no doubt your channel will explode soon enough.

My vote is channel combined, blasting and BaZ. Also, because I’m a deviant, I’d like more detail in the media you use for different jobs etc, unless it’s trade secrets etc.

Those early mini pickups and vans had a fixed grill, changing the oil filter was a real pain in the a**e. So cutting out the centre of the grill was quite common. I had a ‘63 mini van as my first car. I didn’t cut mine out, I fitted a hinge forward fibreglass front after a small misdemeanour!
