This was a competitive series no doubt about it. But when you win the first game as the visiting team then do so in game 3 so convincingly, and get beat 2 times at home it plays with the mind. Yes out team had issues with hitting at times, but that pitching staff was great. Got to give it to the fellas for coming back a night after getting beat down and then get a no hitter of their own. That speaks to the character of the team. I notice that a lot of people were still talking about cheaters and umpire calls. But lets be real for the most part they did get it right. That catch out in the center field was a game saver. I can watch that play over and over and not get tired of it.

Still on cloud nine, Astros. Wow. Just wow. All I can say. This is probably the most dominant team I've ever seen in baseball. Our boys in orange made us so proud. I get emotional seeing them so happy after clutching the final out. Seeing altuve who has grown older since the 2017 classic win but is literally our favorite. Seeing Mancini freak out and running and screaming from hype and joy. Seeing the dugout clutching onto Dusty celebrating. This is just the most impactful WS win ever to me. Dusty got his ring. Mancini got his ring. Altuve gets his second ring and redemption to show the world how good he truly is (even though, in all fairness, Altuve never did anything wrong to begin with). Altuve put up a 160 OPS+ season. Do you guys understand how unbelievable that is for a second baseman to do?! We literally love you, Altuve. From the bottom of our hearts. Bregman... we are so glad you found yourself and had the time of your life this season. You won a ring, too! And set postseason all time records as a third baseman. What an amazing accomplishment! I hope your new family life is treating you as well as you have treated us fans with your abilities and effort! Have a safe recovery this off-season! Yuli, we always knew you were going to break out of that funk. There were times we were down sad because of your regular season, but when the lights came on and the postseason hit, I dont think there was a doubt you would shine at your brightest. You are literally one of the reasons I love baseball so much. Your name will go down in astros history forever and I hope you play on this team until you can't play anymore. We love you, La Piña! Have a safe recovery in the off-season! Lance, I know you struggled in the game you started in the WS, but right now it literally doesn't matter to us fans. Why? Because of your team spirit and heart for this team. Do you know how epic it is when you say, "Bury me in the H?" That is the most badass thing ever in a day and age where athletes never seem to stay and ride or die with a team. We love you so much and you will go down as a legend to us astros fans. Let alone your true pitching talent is unbelievable!!! Astros fans truly know this! JV... wow! Just wow is all I can say! You are 10 times over the comeback player of the year! I gotta admit, though, I knew you would do it. But the fashion in which you did it is what truly shocks me. You seemed like a totally different pitcher! You didn't just own the mound every time you pitched... you dominated it. You are a hall of famer no doubt. A houston legend. A true sensational experience to watch. As astros fans we love you so much! Please stay with us astros. Oh and did I forget to mention congrats on your first WS win?! 😉 The players i have mentioned above were the players on the 2017 roster that are with us still today. But, to all the other astros we love so dearly: Tuck, Alvarez, Peña, Mancini, Maldy, Vasquez, Mccormick, Dubon, Framber, Urquidy, Garcia, Javier, Montero, Pressly, Stanek, Abreu... need i mention more? We all know exactly who you all are! You guys filled my heart with so much joy this year. I just wish I had a way to say it to you in person. From the bottom of my heart, a true astros fan through and through, Thank you so much! TL;DR: The astros are really good. Go astros!!!! 💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡🤩

The scary thing is I don’t think this team even played their best baseball in the postseason. Yordan had a great beginning and ending but not much in between. Altuve didn’t drive in a run in the WS and had like an 0-24 slump. Tucker hit three homers and two were in one game. We got nothing from Diaz or Mancini. Verlander and McCullers struggled. Still went 11-2 in the playoffs and never were really in a hole. 106 wins and 11-2 playoff record. Top ten team of all time.

I think thats a little harsh man. I don’t think it was a choke job by the Phillies, because they barely even had the lead in the last 3 games. Only in game 6 did they have a lead for a short time. They were a good team on a magical run, but they ran into an Astros team that has been there and done that and lost 2 World Series prior. But they were able to get over the hump this time because their pitching: starters and bullpen were so incredibly deep. The Phillies just ran into a juggernaut. But how many times have we seen the team of destiny take out the juggernaut in the past 20 years of MLB champions? It happens almost every year it seems like. But the Astros an unbelievable franchise who weathered a scandal that they partly brought on themselves, finally was able to get over the hump again in clear-cut legit fashion. Such a magical run, heart wrenching end to the season for my Phillies for what seem'd like a destiny championship. As a Phillies fan, it hurts to see my squad get this far and not finish it off by winning the ultimate prize but I am damn proud of the heart, grit, and fight that was shown this season. 8 games under .500 at the end of May, no one saw this coming especially with Bryce Harper getting his thumb broken by Blake Snell and missing a couple of months. It was a struggle to clinch the final postseason spot late in the season, but once it was secured the magical run began. The six-run 9th inning against the Cardinals, the six-run 3rd inning against the Braves, the 488-foot home run by Kyle Schwarber against the Padres, the comeback win against the Padres, Bryce Harper's legendary pennant-winning two-run home run against the Padres, the comeback win against the Astros, and the five home run game against the Astros were all a ton of epic moments that us Philly fans enjoyed and will never forget. A lot of changes need to be made so we can get better and try to get back here in 2023, but hopefully this is the start of the rebirth of this franchise. Salute, Phillies. 2022 N.L. Champions.

This Astros team is so freaking good. They could have legit given the WS MVP to: Penya, Framber, Bregman, Christian, or Pressley. WHAT A POSTSEASON!! It's an embarrassment of riches in Astros baseball right now. Cheers to Dusty Baker, JV for getting that WS W, Mattress Mack, and ALL the players! This was the most epic season I've ever seen. It's one thing to be so good on paper, but the team still has to go out there and prove it. Which they did. Such good pitching, defense, and hitting that it's hard to believe. I don't think there's ever been a baseball team assembled that is this complete. I don't take that for granted, we truly appreciate it as fans. Everyone is so proud of how great everyone played, looking forward to next season and am happy a lot of these players are about to earn serious bank. That was a strong Phillies team that was red hot. Cheers to the Phillies fans, the fans I know here in the Houston area knew y'all were going to be tough to beat. Y'all fought hard, and if it hadn't gone in Houston's favor I'd have been happy for Philadelpia. You guys have a gritty, likeable bunch of players, much like Atlanta did last year. The Dodgers and Nats, not so much.

i'm honestly kind of glad Houston won. i was tired of seeing Dusty come up short. if the Astros are going to be the team everyone loves to hate for the foreseeable future, they should have an asterisk-free title to their name. glad they got it overwith.

@@guywebster8018 they really shouldn't. the trash cans didn't help them much. the statistics bear that out. but then again, they brought the asterisk upon themselves. so i'm kind of okay with it being there.

From 2017-2022 Houston Astros went 4 times to the world series won 2 out of 4 Astros went 6 times in roll to the ALCS won 4 out of 6 ALCS and Astros won 5 AL West Division titles all in just 6 years that's Dynasty the 2019 Washington and 2021 Atlanta might have stopped us from winning those titles BUT ASTROS where not going too let the 2019 Washington nor the 2021 Atlanta stop Astros from continuing too became great and win another title and we did Houston Astros your 2017 & 2022 World Series Champions 🏆 🏆 2017-2022 Houston Astros won 11 titles 5 Division titles 4 ALCS titles 2 World Series titles.

what rob thompson did to zack wheeler gave me flashbacks to what kevin cash did to blake snell in the world series, 2 years later. both were doing well, give up a hit, get pulled, then lose in that same game. coincidentally, both instances were in game 6 of the world series. same score, same inning. just as snell got pulled, wheeler got pulled. both bad choices by the managers lead to the lead either getting tied or lost. almost identical moments. go rewatch both videos if you dont believe me.
