The umpires had been horrible all game including a ball that landed maybe 2 feet foul called fair resulting in a go ahead 2 run double for the other team that we never came back from.

the only point it will make is in the teams pocketbook. The team will be fined for refusing to play and the manager probably suspended. Despite the whining from the peanut gallery, the majority of the umps in MLB are over 95% accuracy. Angel Hernandez was never under 95% even with his weird calls here and there. There are actually websites that track that sort of thing. They also track every pitch and what it was called compared to what the actual computer used by MLB said it should be. The box you see on your TV is not accurate. It is off by a couple of inches from what MLB has. Since you seem to think it is easy to be an ump, you should go to your local little league and volunteer. They will appreciate the help and you will find out it isn't so easy to do....

@@Darthvader-oc5tp Wrong. The umpires are absolutely punished if they make major errors. You don't hear about it because of union rules, but it happens. The umpires have to have an ego check in place with how baseball has some of the worst officials in any sport. Also don't make the crew chief the umpire at home. By rule the umpires have jurisdiction once they enter the playing surface. If you want to act like an idiot because of a prior game and carry it to the next game's lineup exchange, expect to get tossed because your willingness to extend your anger to the next game means you will be a problem for the entire game. Kiss your ass good bye. I once worked a youth doubleheader. I was on the bases for the first game. The visiting coach rode my partner for seven full innings but did not step over the line. My partner, BTW, called a good game behind the plate. The ONLY person who had a problem was the visiting team's head coach. There was a 30 minute break between games to let us change gear and for everyone to hydrate a little. At the second game's lineup exchange the visiting coach was still berating my partner. My partner deferred to me since I was now the plate umpire and said "I want him gone.". I replied "You have the same power to eject him as I do. If you want him gone, do it.". He chucked his ass immediately.
