They call on a pinch hitter to finish the at bat. Happened with Lo Duck in 2007, Ramon Castro came in to finish it, but since there were two strikes if Castro got strike three, Lo Duca would get hit with the strikeout on his stat sheet, but if Castro got the hit, Castro would take the credit for it

umpires need to stop making the game about themselves. your job is to be quiet, let them be mad, and call the game, instead if they say one word your get thrown out, they make shity calls so the spotlight is on them.
@timgehrsitz3267
6 жыл бұрын
Kellen Gonda yeah really, how does yelling "dammit" deserve an ejection? That's so fucking dumb. In the NBA it takes two technicals to do it, you get a chance to calm down. In the MLB it seems like arguing with the ref at all gets you ejected
@seamus1956
6 жыл бұрын
Kellen Gonda yes, if they argue a judgement call, especially balls and strikes, they are subject to ejection even after one word. MLB rule 9.02(a) states: "Any umpire's decision regarding judgement, such as, but not limited to, whether a batted ball is fair or foul, whether a pitch is a strike or a ball, or whether a runner is safe or out, is final. No player, manager, coach or substitute shall object to any such judgement decisions." According to the rulebook comment associated with this rule, a manager can be ejected simply by leaving the dugout while trying to argue.
