Hit-by-pitch should be like technical fouls in the NBA, toss on 1 if excessively flagrant, toss on 2 regardless. After so many accumulated HBP, suspensions. since pitchers only pitch every 3 or 4 days, suspend for 2 weeks, then 4 weeks, et cetera.

In ALL of the videos available on the internet there is literally only 1 time a hitter has attacked the pitcher with a bat and he was arrested on the field by police. I played baseball from age 4-23 and never once heard of a hitter attacking a pitcher with a bat. This is one of those moments where you have to choose whether or not you’re a bisshh of a man.

i think this is the only thing why i hate baseball...getting hit by a pitch can be devastating to a players' career and the pitcher sometimes doesnt give a shit & tries to "send a message" its very unsafe, very unprofessional, very old school, and doesnt belong in a professional sport - sure it happens in like basketball for flagrant fouls for example or maybe in hockey but it just happens too consistently in baseball

Understandable tbh. Every hit-by-pitch should be looked at carefully to examine intent from the replay, and if it was determined to be deliberate, yeah that's grounds for immediate ejection from the game and maybe even a suspension of sorts...
