As an MMD animator myself, this is beyond impressive! I have to give absolute respect to the time and dedication it took to make this. MMD is not an easy software to use and believe me when i say stuff like this are built ground up frame by frame, every single bone movement altered frame after frame is mind blowing. I sometimes struggle with just sitting and talking animations, imagine this. I tried making an MMD fight motion and it was extremely difficult. But I managed to pull it off but this is an entire different level of dedication and animation skills! Well done

This is probably one of the most intense firefight media I've ever witnessed. There's so much to say about this but I can't begin to put it into words. You really made every fight seem so tense, and despite not a single word being said you were able to convey so much emotion with your characters. Every and any action movie director/creator would benefit from taking a page out of your book and taking the time to really map out what a believable, tense, tactical, and entertaining gun fight should look like
This has got to be one of the most gripping and well-made animations I have ever seen. From the first shot fired to the lighting of the cigar at the end, everything was absolutely superb. The gunfights, the tactics, the reloads, handling and just about every aspect of the animation has had an incredible amount of work put into it, and the attention to detail is staggering. Not to mention the framing of each shot, every minor and major cut and jump, and especially that one tracking scene on the fallen soldier, the camerawork itself seems to beat out many blockbuster movies and animations from the last decade. Lastly, the storytelling and flow, despite there not being a single word spoken in the entire 30 minutes, each characters intentions and thoughts were telegraphed and dictated amazingly through their expressions, actions and for the masked soldiers, just their eyes and hands. I don’t think I can fully grasp the work and effort put into this animation, but I do hope to at least convey my genuine joy and appreciation for this incredible piece of art. Thank you for this wonderful animation, and I look forward to supporting your next works. edit: i looked around your youtube and twitter and couldn’t find a way to support you through paypal or patreon, is there any possibility of there one being made or should i just keep spam sharing this to my friends hahaha

@@Sathornetfire likely a 16 inch barreled AR15. It's still very useable in a location like the parking garage the final battle took place. A longer barrel also provides better muzzle velocity, which can help with penetrating armor, which OpFor was using. An m16 with M193 5.56x45 which has 55gr of gunpowder, compared to 62gr found in M855/green tip, can absolutely vibe check level 4 armor due to muzzle velocity. Speed is what helps with the penetration of armor, not size of the round itself.

Despite the story telling and characters being excellent, there is an incredible amount of accuracy in military doctrine and drills in this video. Both sides were using different and relevant firing positions as well as the MC making great work of firing and moving tactics. There is absolutely no way that one of the creators of this video does not have a background in the military even yet special operations. This choreography is so textbook well, that I will share this with my unit!

The creator has been an animator for a long time, although I don't know him very well. From what we saw in this short film, I guess that he did a lot of research to take care of the details in the combat sequences, omitting the fact that the commander received an AR shot in the helmet that definitely must have been pierced and not just bounce, let alone the .338 shot. I'll assume that both shots just grazed the helmet, in any case it's something you see in all the movies and video games these days, so it doesn't matter.

I also love how most of the shots fired are misses. It's accurate to real life where the purpose of most fire is not to kill, but rather to suppress the enemy in order to gain a tactical advantage which can be used to make various manuevers, like when they suppressed hostiles to give room to pop a smoke so as to conceal their movement, allowing escape from a situation where they were clearly pinned down and about to be overrun by superior firepower. Also love the one scene where despite getting hit in her armor, she still feels hurt because even if it doesn't penetrate, the force is still enough to break bone through the armor even through pure concussive force. Also, that scene with how she exploited the sniper's autoloader's weakness by causing a stovepipe by obstructing the slide?! Chefs fucking kiss, that was amazing.

It's a great animation and I love the *individual* tactics. I don't know why the protagonist team is so... just fucking weird in their movements and squad decisions whereas the enemy makes more sense. Shawty is definitely getting fired for her field battle decisions, but that's fine. I don't think it takes away from the film at all.

According to an interview with the creator of "V.I.P." himself, he had no special forces or other training, but was self-taught and created this great work solely out of a desire to make more interesting action videos. I suspected that he was lying XD

Not gonna lie this is top tier stuff. Very apparent that the animator researched and read good material on firefights and gunplay, even down to the smallest of details. Loved how you can tell what they’re communicating just from body language alone. I thought the flashbang in the mouth part was an insane way to end the final shootout, very unorthodox and new. I could write an essay on how this video is great, but I think it speaks for itself.

I was not ready to be bamboozled like this. This was some great storytelling, and animation. The subtle details in the way they handled their weapons and how the propped themselves against ledges, everything was beautiful. All this needs is equally good voice acting, sound effects and better graphics, it'd be it's own movie full fledged movie. Even so, there's a charm to it that it is the way it is.

KZitem randomly recommended me this, tapped on it and enjoyed every minute of it. A routine VIP escort gone bad leading to a final standoff with a determined suited and booted character. The gun battles were great along with the moments of squad tactics in between. Even with no actual vocal dialogue it told a solid story through the intensity and progression alone. Can’t wait for what’s next.

Something I also liked here is that the body armor is actually treated like armor, for example in the scene at 12:55. When they take shots at each other with their sidearms it’s not a instant one-shot kill, you can see their body armor taking some of the blows before succumbing to their wounds.

This has to be the best thing I've seen since RWBY and RVB, maybe even better. While I have no military experience and am not a military tactician, the tactics feel very realistic for the most part (one person taking down 10+ trained military soldiers is unrealistic but not unheard of). The way they acted and showed emotions without a single word is incredible and extremely effective. Everything about this was done so well and although it's not perfect, there is some clipping textures, it's one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. I love it.
