Omg this "new" Adjust Track Module is amazing, it's much easier than older versions. 😧 I hate to tweak this stuff in Classic mode, but my Mocha Pro 2020 still doesn't have this feature. 😔 I hope to update to the last version one day. Congrats on this video by the way, really useful!! 👏👏

Eh... this adjust track is a 30 second job in the Classic Adjust Module. But still, thank you for giving us an option to move all points at the same time, and the option to not keyframe all points at once. For the first time since 2020, new Mocha is finally usable. Now just bring back QWE transformation tools for all adjust points, instead of this new right click drag (it allows only for translation) and we're cool ;)

Always make the shape/mesh a bit bigger than you need it, then make the shape smaller before you track. That way you get some solid borders when you do unwarping or warping. That's one a lot of people miss.

Firstly make sure you're in the Classic workspace from the dropdown at the top. Then go into the AdjustTrack module and make sure you're in the new Transform tab (it should be there by default). If you don't see two tabs, Transform and Classic, then you may be running an old version of Mocha that doesn't have the AdjustTrack 2.0 module. Does that help?

My adjust poins are not red, they are pink and are not changing the planar surface area. Why is that? It works differently than whats shown on the tutorial.
@BorisFXco
11 ай бұрын
If they are pink they are on the reference frame where they set the points. The initial reference points frame doesn't adjust anything. You're supposed to place the points where you want to reference them for the rest of the adjustment. For more information, see here: borisfx.com/documentation/mocha/10.0.0#_setting_up_reference_points In this video, Elizabeth has stepped to the next frame in the shot, so that she can illustrate the different types of motion that can be created. But, it's understandable if this is a little confusing. You can always visit our forum to ask more detailed questions: forum.borisfx.com/

I have a shot where i need to track a sign but a car blocks the entire sign for a second, and then reveals it while the camera is moving and there is nothing co-planar to track it. Help!
@BorisFXco
Жыл бұрын
This is a classic case for doing this in two sections. Do one track forwards for the first part where you can see the sign. Do the next track backwards from the end to where the sign is revealed/hidden by the car. If it's covered completely in the middle, then there's no real need to have it in there at that time. If you want someone to have a look at the shot for some more precise advice, then I would strongly recommend the forums : forum.borisfx.com/
@xperstudios
Жыл бұрын
@@BorisFXco Well, you can see a bit of the sign through the car's windows, so having a nice track in the middle (maybe by extrapolating the movement) would be necessary, but i've tried that before and it didn't worked very well, since there is a lot of drift between before the car and after the car, no matter how many keyframes do i place, idk why :(
@BorisFXco
Жыл бұрын
Sounds like you should definitely post on the forum. Just one last hint here though, if you still have a lot of drift in the middle, try turning all other Track Motion options off and just track Translation for those frames. It won't be perfect but it will stop you from having to put as many manual keyframes in there. The more you do manually, the more you open yourself up to small errors.

Hello I have an issue that I have been facing lately hope that commenting here wouldn't be an issue. I using the remove module and when I am creating the cleanplate for some reason it's creating a exr rather than the tif. But that's not my biggest issue. The exr when opened in the photoshop is very brighter and unsaturated as compared to actual footage in after effects. Currently the colors in after effects and mocha are similar but not in photoshop.

Hopefully this is probably going to be something simple. In Photoshop, go to View > Proof Colors and turn that on. Also make sure that your View > Proof Setup is set appropriately.

The reference point need to be align with the surface corners? we need to see tutorials with more complex shapes and not just squared or rectangular
@BorisFXco
9 ай бұрын
No, the reference points just have to be in places that you can see that are co-planar with the Surface corners. Note that the further away these points are from the actual surface, the more likely you are to suffer from "lever problems", where small errors can get magnified. The most common situations you would use AdjustTrack would be with flat shapes. What sort of complex shapes are you thinking of? We can take a look at creating tutorials with shots like that.

You can shift-click to select multiple points. In AdjustTrack you don't tend to move the points together. But you can if there is a general shift across all points.
