sir.. (111) is the slip plane for fcc.. why cant any other plane not be the slip plane??

If you calculate the planar density of (111) plane of FCC, it is higher than the other planes, that means it is more closely packed than the other planes, thus slip is predominant in (111).

bcc has 48 slip systems but they have high hardness than fcc why .?

FCC has a higher packing efficiency around 74% and the slip planes are more closely packed and slip systems around 12 lesser than BCC. Infact BCC has more slip systems around 48 more than FCC. But they are not as closely packed as FCC. For plastic deformation, we need at least 5 independent slip systems. Both FCC and BCC have those. But the previously mentioned factor makes FCC more ductile than BCC. and BCC lattice structure has too much of slip systems(48), here slip systems are INTERFERE OR MUTUALLY OBSTRUCT each other therefore slip movement in BCC is made very difficult thus BCC is brittle as compared FCC Crystal structure
