You can power off the mic holding the button for ONLY 2 seconds. Holding it for longer does the blinky pairing mode thing.

What do you guys think of the Mod Mic Wireless?

I'm not one to use headphone microphones typically, but I'm surprised how much better they've gotten over the past few years.

Yeah, me either. I solely use condenser microphones anymore but they have gotten much better.

@@CalebThornton The Corsair HS80 has one of the best sounding mics of all wireless headsets so far. The EPOS H3Pro Hybrid sounds good too. Edited because I forgot to say "all wireless headsets"

I’ll have to look into reviewing those. I’ve not used either of them but would be nice to see a wireless headset with a great microphone.

1:54 this is false, you can turn of the mic while the usb dongle is plugged in. Not sure where you got this information or came to this conclusion. Not a huge deal, but it would be a very bad design if you had to remove the usb dongle every time you wanted to power off the mic.

man ain't gon lie for the price of the mod mic wireless you're better off picking up a USB microphone and get an even better sounding mic compared to this.
@CalebThornton

Yeah, that's pretty much my feeling with it. The only reason it would be worth it in my opinion is if you just want it to be wireless and not on your desk but on your headset while being able to go between multiple headsets.

That "crunching" noise is the sound of the slider switching from one electrical contact to another. It's similar to the sound when plugging a mic into a sound system and you can hear that audible pop sound over the speakers. It's just the normal sound of metal on metal contact.

Good sound test but please add battery life testing and range.

I’ve gone multiple days using it without charging. Range is more than enough if you are going to be in the same room that you are using the dongle but even walking rooms away it still works.

@@CalebThornton "multiple days". How long of use each day? On a day off I can game for like 12 hours. I use the EPOS H3Pro Hybrid for gaming and that headset easily lasts all day. I use it for taking calls during my 12 hour IT wfh shift and then game on them for 4 to 5 hours after work without charging them.

I'm definitely not using it for 12hr in a day. That is how long the battery is estimated to last by the company and I'd say about the same for me as well. It would last a few days for me using it around that 3-4hr mark.
